We had a really bad meal at The Slaughters Manor House particularly with my young daughter’s meal. Everything she ordered was virtually inedible from the stale/rock hard marshmallows with her hot chocolate to her stale dough balls to her very strange tasting tomato pasta. Our mains (chicken burgers) were average but to pay £7 for a tiny portion of chips as a side is a complete rip off. It’s a shame as the venue is visually beautiful but majorly let down by the food.

This was an Afternoom Tea that was exactly what you’d expect. The village is absolutely beautiful, venue is magical and the food really excellent. The hotel has an excellent restaurant and it showed on the food they provided We had a festive tea that was £10 more than standard so not sure what the difference was The plain scones were as good as any I’ve eaten and the cakes were beautifully presented. No way to eat it all so you get a nice little box to take the surplus away with you Highly recommended

Had the festive afternoon tea, I wouldn't bother again. The quality of the tea was OK, the bread was fresh at least. But the turkey and stuffing finger sandwiches were poor. Service was very efficient. Very dirty menu wasn't a good start. Served in a dining room with very little atmosphere due to a wedding being on in the area where its normally served. Beautiful hotel but at £99 for 2 including a 10% service charge it was very overpriced

Having been before and had a lovely time this visit was left wanting. Upon arrival i had to approach a member of staff as the two that were on reception didn’t seem interested in greeting us or enquiring as to the purpose of our visit. When our food arrived there were only 2 small fingers sandwiches and one of the varieties mentioned by the waitress wasn’t even there or available after we enquired as to the volume of food . The cakes were very tasty. Whilst we were by no means expecting a royal banquet this wasn’t very good for £45. On a positive note, the manor/village is beautiful

We had the festive Afternoon Tea with mulled wine. It was delicious. The setting was lovely and comfortable next to the Christmas tree with the open fire roaring. The staff were lovely and very attentive.

An excellent afternoon tea for my wife and I as part of an early Christmas celebration. The staff were friendly and service was excellent. The afternoon was delicious, we have sampled many teas around the UK and the world and this one was right up there with the best. Will be returning in the future.
