The Statler is an American Bistro and Cocktail Bar nestled into the heart of Downtown Detroit's Entertainment District. The Statler offers classic cuisine with a slightly modern twist, catering to both adventurous and traditional diners alike. Our menu was created by Certified Master Chef Daniel Scannell, modeling a French Bistro. The Statler delivers a world class Gastro and Mixology Bar and Formal Dining Room Experiences. Enjoy a Smoked Old Fashioned with Suntory Japanese Whiskey and Crispy Calamari, and Friends during Happy Hour, then a Bottle of Faust Cabernet Sauvignon with Braised Short Ribs and Family in our Dining Room. Just a food issue. It was meh. Overpriced for average under-seasoned food. Service was great. Server was great. Atmosphere was awesome. Food was average. Sorry.

This was our first visit and our group dined prior to a concert. From the fresh unique bread, to the artichoke appetizer, to the seared salmon with pea risotto, and finishing with the crème brûlée, everything was DELICIOUS! The table staff attentiveness was both professional and friendly. The managers stopped by to see how the dinner was going showing a level of care for our experience. Highly recommended! Will definitely go back!

The Statler is really cool. Food and service are all high-end but prices are really reasonable and it's not fussy or pretentious. A sweet spot.

The food and atmosphere were amazing. However, we received a lot of attitude and haughtiness from our server, who couldn’t wait to be rid of us despite being extremely respectful. We felt discriminated against by both our host and server. Likelihood of returning is low due to this negative treatment.

My wife and I love the Statler. We have eaten their numerous times and have always been pleased. Last night was our 20th wedding anniversary and we were given a glass of Champaine. The service is always first rate. Our server was engaging and helpful. Everyone seemed interested in us having a good experience. My only complaint is that we missed the old menu. The new items we had were very good. I had the shrimp, and my wife had the chicken. Overall, I would encourage everyone to come to the Statler!

Wait was very long. Even though the restaurant was not crowded, we were seated at a table that was WAY too large for our party. Food was significantly delayed and we waited over an hour for the food. Halibut was tasteless and cold. Pork chops were undercooked and half raw. Management never engaged with us even after we complained about wait time and food. First time at Statler we had a good experience. The second time was completely different. I hope they fix the inconsistency issues.
