   Overpriced for the food quality/quantity. A £40 fillet steak, really should come with a complimentary side or two. The food was tasty, but the burger was just a burger, but a £24 one! Staff were very friendly. Venue is lovely. But it feels too expensive when I compare to other places that I have dined. It doesn’t inspire me to return, which is a shame as it’s close to home and a pleasant ambience.

   Overall a disappointing experience. We didn't feel the vegans at our table were well catered for (for starters and mains - the vegan pudding was really nice). The hash browns were very small and cost £9 each! The truffle had absolutely no taste, even when we took a bit off to try it on its own. The music was a bit weird, too loud and also it was odd that the music was piped into the carpark. We were overcharged, and refunded once I had realised but without apology. I have put a more detailed review on Google, but do not have the character allowance to share it here.

   Really enjoyable Sunday dinner enjoyed by all of us. Sunday Roasts, Veg and desserts for all 6 including 2 children. We didn't leave much. You will go a long way to find a better Sunday dinner.

   We booked for Easter Sunday family lunch. 3 generations made very varied choices and had fabulous food. Classics like cheese donuts and black pudfing bon bons were followed by starters including Cornish gurnard, crab, steak tartar and baked bertroot. We had a selection of roasts and the fish options for the mains and various puddings (plum bakewell tart and a soft serve cream tea) to finish up. All in all a cracking meal and a happy family.

   Absolute rip off. Extremely over priced for tiny portions of main and side dishes. Very disappointed. We expected a real treat, but unfortunately received a huge disappointment. The service however was excellent. Such a shame the meal didn't rise to the same level. Will never go back.

   The moment you step through the front door you are greeted with polite and friendly staff. The attentiveness of the staff is throughout the entire time. The decor is elegant and appealing to dine in. The food is fantastic with presentation and the flavours perfect and well balanced. Meals were cooked beyond what we expected with tenderness and paired beautifully with accompanying dresses. Highly recommend for a night out whether as solo, couples or in group, however do book ahead to not be disappointed.

   Our first visit to Tartan Fox but we are big fans of all AH’s restaurants and this did not disappoint. Very similar experience to Loch & Tyne, which is our ‘go to’ restaurant so we loved it.

   Fantastic food overall — a modern european menu with Scottish touches. The Beef Tartare was a real highlight. Friendly service and a cosy ambiance in a very old stone house.
