   Very poor service recieved today, the restaurant was very busy so seated in the bar area. It took about 25 mins to get a drink ordered to be told that it was out of stock we then placed food order and had a 40minute wait without being told we could go to the carvery. We questioned this and had clearly been forgotten as the carvery was empty and the food was hardly warm and we had the lasts of everything when food service had not even finished.

   Very poor service due to not enough staff waited half an hour for a drink when we first arrived, then had to ask 3 times for another drink this did not arrive so had to go to the bar ourselves . Food was very nice but won't recommend it to anyone.

   Never had as bad service as this. 50% of the menu not available. Was told only 1 ribs left… by the time of ordering (25 mins!)…. No ribs. Ran out of soup FFS!🤦‍♂️ no burgers, other choices not available. Staff taking too long to get drinks. “We’ve had a party in”…. Yes but that’s a booking with known numbers so why so little left? From arrival to delivery of main was 1h40. Quality of food was good. Asked to see manager, didn’t appear, too busy in the kitchen! Cooking what exactly? You had next to nothing available. Woeful, inept, incompetent, without doubt the WORST service we’ve ever received anywhere.

   Very disappointed. Upon arrival we weren’t even given a chance to buy any drinks, barman was very abrupt, told us to wait in the small area further along and wait to be taken to a table. We were taken to a table, ordered drinks and waited ages to receive them. Then, we found it was extremely cold in the area we sat and asked to move. This was done and better than initially. We ordered our meals and waited. 3 of us had carvery, the other had a set meal. Set meal was brought out and the other 3 were asked to go to the carvery. The person who had the set meal then had to wait to get any utensils to eat with 🙈. Halfway through the meal, one of us found a very very long hair with the Yorkshire on the carvery meal, and this put us off for ever and will not be going back. Based on the poor customer experience and the found hair in the food we would not be going back again in a hurry. Dissatisfied and very disappointed ☹️.

   I'd not visited this pub since Covid so it was good to see it thriving. A really good Sunday roast with a generous portion of meats and a wide selection of veg. The beer was good (Fullers Grand Slam) and although I prefer my wife's apple crumble this was pretty good too. Good value - 2 roast lunches, 1 dessert, 2 pints of beer and a lime and tonic came to £48 Thoroughly recommend this pub and will return.

   Had a lovely evening. Food was lovely, the waitress couldn't have done more. Lovely food, company and service.
