   Chose the beef and turkey, generous helpings, which meant we struggled to squeeze in a dessert. Settled for one shared between 2. Bonus cauliflower cheese vegetables. Obviously better deals elsewhere as restaurant was quiet this Sunday. Just one other couple but meant we could chat easily as 3 of us with earphones.

   My friend and I had a fantastic lunch here. There is a good menu that would cater for most tastes and daily specials. I had the jerk marinaded chicken with slaw and fries, which I exchanged for chunky chips and my friend had the ham, egg and chips. Both dishes looked really appealing when they came out; my friend had food envy and wished she'd chosen what I had. The chicken was lovely and succulent and the chips were superb! The desserts were fantastic too. The service was excellent - really efficient without being obtrusive. Would definitely recommend.

   The best Sunday lunch I’ve ever had away from home! The roast beef was incredible and everything on the plate cooked to perfection. The is our new favourite place!

   Food was great but Open Table let me book a table outside of the hours that food was being served so that wasn't great and nearly cost us our meal. Luckily I noticed in time to change it

   My rib eye steak was very poor quality. Mainly gristle Not good for £30. When asked if the meal was okay when we left, I did tell the management. I also asked for an empty glass to liven up the Amstel lager as it was flat. The young lady who served us was very pleasant. No problem there. My wife’s meal was fine. It was a shame because my first choice the half a chicken on the menu was not available.On reflection I should have told you the problem when I couldn’t cut the steak with a steak knife. To late now.

    A very pretty pub right in the centre of Benson close to the church with a lovely garden out the back with lawn and plenty of tables/chairs. Given that it was 30 degrees yesterday it was a pleasure to sit under the trees. Food was good, French Onion Soup to start, lots of iced drinks and good beef burger and pizza for my co-guest. Definitely worth the drive from west Oxon.
