   Fantastic meal and experience on our first visit for my Birthday, our waitress was fantastic too. 2 improvements for future diners to to better enjoy the experience and score a 5! 1) the internet is a problem throughout the building, we were unable to pay at our table, and were kindly asked to pay at the bar, we had several attempts at the bar even turning internet off/on to resolve it! No luck! Luckily we had cash with us and paid this way.? 2) our small table for 2 had sloping edges to the table top? When meal arrived, drinks meals veg bowls had to closely placed in the centre preventing anything falling off. Thanks again Martin

   Looking forward to Sunday lunch at the Two Pigs following a visit for breakfast a few weeks ago. It’s a lovely venue and breakfast was great. Today Sunday lunch was very average. I had beef which was very tough and chewy. My wife had stuffed belly pork. She found the stuffing of herbs to be quite bitter and unpleasant. Veg consisted of roast potatoes, shredded cabbage and carrots. Unfortunately it was all lukewarm at best. Sadly the Two Pigs didn’t live up to our expectations today.

   Stood at the bar for 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Table wasn’t ready which is fine so we had a drink at the bar. Then taken to our table but no offer of helping us carry our drinks. Sat at the table for 45 minutes before anyone came over to us and that was only because we asked. Ordered wine which came with no wine glasses and had to ask for those and wait for them. Food was amazing and can’t fault that at all but they need to sort the service out. You can’t provide amazing food and not have the service to back it up. Knocked our arrival drinks off the bill which when we looked wasn’t right either but by this point we just wanted to leave, we were so disappointed as we had been really looking forward to it.

   I wanted to share our experience from our visit on Saturday, as we were quite disappointed with the service we received. We had a booking for 8:00 PM and arrived on time, but were informed our table wasn’t ready. The staff said they would check, but we never heard back, so we moved to the side of the bar and ordered drinks. The bar itself was cluttered with empty glasses. After waiting 45 minutes, we were finally taken to our table at 8:45 PM. However, upon arrival, the table was still not set – the waitress had to spray and wipe it down and lay the cutlery while we were seated, which should have been done beforehand. Once seated, we ordered drinks, and while the men's drinks arrived quickly, the rest of the order had to be chased up. Other tables were offered water, but we were not, so we had to request it halfway through our starters. Fortunately, we ordered our food at the same time as our drinks, so there were no delays with the meals. The starters and mains were fantastic, but when the mains arrived, our cutlery had not been replenished. Later, we ordered dessert, but no one checked if we wanted additional drinks throughout the meal. Towards the end of the evening, a waitress finally asked if we needed anything else, and at that point, we had to chase up our dessert, which had been ordered 30 minutes prior. Additionally, I had noted on the booking that it was my mother’s birthday, but no acknowledgment was made. While the food was excellent, the overall service left us disappointed, especially for a special occasion. We have enjoyed dining here before and would love to return, but we shouldn't have to consider booking an earlier slot just to receive better service. We wanted to bring this to your attention as we genuinely enjoy your food and hope our next visit will be a more positive experience.

   We had a lovely lunch, food was great and our server Becci went above and beyond to welcome us and make sure we had a lovely time.

   Lovely lunch for 2. Ideal portions of good tasty food. We both had haddock and chips. Beautiful bread and butter puddings and well made coffees served after lunch as requested. Highly recommended.
