Set high on a hilltop with breathtaking panoramic views of the Monterey Bay, The View Restaurant & Bar at Chaminade offers a unique dining experience. Indoor and outdoor seating allows guests to enjoy the naturally beautiful scenery which compliments the contemporary California Cuisine. Whether it’s sustainable seafood or locally grown produce, The View emphasizes natural ingredients while providing four-diamond service. A 4% surcharge will be added to all guest checks to help cover increases in labor costs and to support a higher minimum wage.

***Please note that our kitchen closes from 1:30pm-2:00pm to prepare for dinner service. Our bar and restaurant remain open during that time, offering a fine selection of local wines, craft beers, signature cocktails, and non-alcoholic refreshments to enjoy.

It was a beautiful evening. Sat out on the deck with expansive view. Table ready for us. Waitress and staff EXCEPTIONAL. Food service was second to none. Had a fantastic time in every was. Complimented the general manager and called out Lakela for her tremendous and professional service

We went for our birthday brunch. The server seemed to have no energy for us, she cut me off before I was done ordering. I actually would have ordered more food if she didn’t cut me off. The food itself was incredibly bland and overpriced. The hollandaise was tasteless, potatoes were poorly seasoned and mocha was sad (the server didn’t even really understand what a mocha was). The only redeeming quality was the free slices of birthday cake that were delicious. Other than that, we got stuck with an incredibly high bill for mediocre brunch and subpar service. I would not return and wish I would have asked for a refund.

Beautiful view and great service from Andy (our server) we had a few drinks and split some appetizers. A hidden local gem. We will be back.

Came here for my mom’s birthday dinner. The restaurant has nice ambience and good energy, good service, but really expensive food for what we got. My husband ordered the short ribs with risotto , and they were mostly fat so he only got a few bites of lean meat, and the risotto was very soupy, he only took a few bites of that too. I was happy with my salad but the chicken was a little dry. A good experience overall , but the food quality didn’t reflect the price we paid.

I eat gluten free and had the best gf sesame hamburger bun at dinner and French toast for breakfast. No issues with cross contamination either. The bread was light and fluffy and held together well. My server, Ira, did an excellent job of taking care of me.
