The Waratah is a neighbourhood friendly bar, located in the heart of Darlinghurst.

Our ground floor features a friendly and easy-going public bar designed for walk-ins only. Upstairs is open for bookings, with a vibrant terrace bar complete with a stunning sun-draped rooftop and wrap-around veranda.

Our focus is on cocktails and great food. The Waratah is our love letter to all that makes Australia unique: small & independent producers, local growers, native produce and a diverse and singular landscape.

    Multiple dates available
    4 Courses - $95 per person including corkage (1 bottle of wine only per person). ONE MENU ONLY - dietaries will not be able to be catered for without 72 hours of prior knowledge. Two Sittings; 6pm & 8:15pm. Cancellations within 48 hours will trigger a fee of $95 per person. Cancellations accepted via email only. We encourage you to pre decant your wines prior to arrival as decanters are very limited. Full beverage list also available.

    Love it. A beautiful marriage between the indigenous concept with the English / modern style building and food. Excellent food and service. Beautiful cocktails and just simply love the romance of First Nation ingredients and concept. Toby’s menu was awesome, love the cherry baby and lucky 38 is definitely our favourite!!

    Food was yummy but had to practically fight for a drink at bottomless brunch sadly! They only served us drinks for 60mins of the 90min sitting :(

    Amazing service from the team for our long Sunday lunch. Absolutely stunning sitting up on the balcony, people watching and eating good food. Will be back for sure!

    Outstanding food & service at prices that are more than fair for the quality and innovation. Service was very good and venue is relaxed but beautifully appointed for a pub restaurant. Will definitely take a larger group there as the shared plate concept works so well to experience a selection of the offerings.
