The Westwood offers modern British Food in a relaxed informal environment.
Located in the grounds of Beverley’s former grade II listed Georgian courthouse, its modern, comfortable interior complements perfectly the classic features and charm of this historic building, and when the sun is out, there’s no better place for a meal than out on the terrace.
Our aim is this, great food, a warm welcome and great service to match. We also believe in making the most of the seasons so our menu is constantly changing to bring you the best of locally sourced produce.
The Westwood has focused on casual dining and delivered the highest of standards since opening in 2007, making it one of East Yorkshire's finest places to enjoy food!

With the long term vision of a ‘local’ quality restaurant, Matthew, Michele and their team use high quality, locally sourced ingredients to serve up the best the region has to offer in innovative and classical ways.

    It is always a pleasure eating here, when you can get in! Just too popular. Lovely crispy duck salad, scallops and the halibut, venison and lamb perfectly cooked. Super evening out. Ian

    As a always the food is wonderful but the menu could do with a change it’s been like this for more than a year. One negative as always people on mobile phones with no consideration for other diners. Ban phones

    Our son's, who are far more food connoisseur's than their parents, considered this one of the best meals they had eaten. The service was excellent and the restaurant very pleasant. The sons again considered the price very competitive for the quality of food.

    A lovely restaurant. Really well catered for. Very nice to have a drink first in the bar before we got taken to are table. Food was outstanding. Will definitely be coming back.

    Heard lots of positive things over the years so finally managed to give it a try. Nice setting. Nice decor. Attentive , friendly, helpful, non intrusive service. All courses were thoroughly enjoyed (scallops, duck salad, porterhouse). An excellent lunch. Will be back ( the choux pastry with Tokaji was a nice finish). The cheeses looked good too.
