Clearly open table aren’t really interested in customer reviews or comments or you would have read the message I sent you yesterday and seen that on arriving for our confirmed booking at the restaurant I was informed they never had our booking. I was offered a table by the door in a half empty restaurant, the menu had been changed after I checked on line so I was unable to eat anything and the lack of staff, 2 people for busy Sunday lunch service together with the lack of customer service was appalling. Will never go back and definitely wouldn’t recommend! We left out of utter disgust. I suggest that between yourselves and the restaurant you sort this lack of communication out so no one else has the same crap experience.

Was given butter on my vegetables after I explained I was vegan and only realized once I ate it. Risotto was stodgy and gluey, probably because it was left on the pass for five minutes whilst the chef snapped photos of it. Bread appetizer was obviously frozen then thrown in the oven as it was dried out, strangely sweet tasting as really cold/frozen in the middle. I asked for olive oil to go with the bread only to be told that they didn’t have any and rapeseed oil brought to the table. Our waitress was good but didn’t really ask why we left most of our food.

Great food and service. Kids behind us were annoying going in and if the door every five minutes. Will definitely be going back.

Nice looking pub/restaurant very quiet but it was early evening. Expected great things for the price. Food looked nice enough but on tasting it mine and my husband's food was unbelievably salty we couldn't eat it such a shame.

Booked last minute for a quick Sunday lunch. Really did not know what to expect, but needed something local and this was the only 'interesting' option. Have the say the lunch was excellent ( i'm a Yorkshireman so Sunday lunch is a religion). The beef was not quite a pink as I would like but we were a late table around 3pm, I think a normally time would see proper pink. Was nice that I was asked if I wanted pink or well done. Homemade Yorkies were very good and an excellent of veggies. Plus you could add a side of cauliflower cheese for £3 which would feed the entire table (and its very good!). The other star ingredient was real horseradish, so hard to get 'blow you socks off', make you cry horseradish, this was the icing on the cake. Staff were very attentive, and offered more gravy, potatoes etc without even being asked (nice touch). The property has been newly refurbed in a industrial vintage theme. It's not exactly 'homely' but serves a purpose, watch out for the tiled floor in the bar, its like an ice skating rink! Overall a good find on a wet Sunday afternoon.

This particular meal was part of a busy few days that resulted in 4 visits in 3 days, eating on 3 occasions. Our visitors enjoyed the food and friendly service. Happy to go back as the latest management team find their feet.

last minute booking here with my wife whilst we were staying locally. First impressions were that the bar is really cosy whilst the restaurant seemed a little bright. However we soon accepted as this was quite a lively place, the "contemporary" lighting was really good. The Food and service were both exceptionally good - my steak was delicious, cooked perfectly to my liking (medium rare, edging towards the rare) and my wife's Sea Bass was reported as being delicious, as were the accompaniments. As I said, the staff were exceptionally polite, welcoming and efficient, and made us feel like individuals, not just another punter as is often the case these days. Thoroughly recommended, but remember you have to pay for quality, as it's not cheap.

Service wasn't great. Guy walked off before finishing taking the order and I had to follow him to ask for sides and give him back the menus! The sides never came but were on the bill. Food (the bits that came) was actually very good.
