   I had the steak pie - I most definitely wouldn't recommend it. Portion size, loads of chips and an unecessary salad to accompany. Friends had the orzo salmon and the fish and chips and wouldn't recommend. Other selection was the chicken supreme which our other firmed enjoyed.

   Fabulous food, great friendly service. Great location, next to our hotel. Unusual, but tasty food. Steak pie was lovely and tender and plentiful.. Linguini was superb my partner said. Highly recommended .

   It took 40 mins to get the coffee my friend had ordered and my 2nd tea. 2 tables left due to the time it took, and we both ordered the full breakfast. Plates came out, i has asked for mushrooms, back to kitchen, waitress took my plate back sorry no mushrooms. So issue number 1, the kitchen should advise the waiting staff whats not available. Also wanted the tomatoes as described what came out with my cooked breakfast was cold cherry tomatoes. What was advertised was roasted vine tomatoes, so I spoke to the waitress she went back to the kit kitchen with my plate again. Now I don't appreciate hearing the chef swearing from the kitchen, yes my plate went back twice because the items that I expected were not as advertised. And the streaky bacon that they used didn't come close to the Scottish back bacon as was on the menu. I've been for breakfast menu a couple of times and wanted to take my friend for a treat. I won't be rushing back. Waiting staff were great, the kitchen have a lot of work to do. If you can't get a full Scottish breakfast correct, well what hope have you got..

   This was the worst food we've ever had served in a restaurant. We ordered starters of chicken nachos and scallops that were good and we both ordered steak pie for our main course which arrived luke warm. The lovely waitress apologised and took the meals away to heat up but when they were returned the meat was very tough and dry with no gravy at all and although we tried to eat it we left at least half of it on our plates. We certainly won't return -Very disappointed.

   My partner and I visited The White Goose last night for a meal. The meal from start to finish was excellent. Very high standard of quality food. Staff were lovely very attentive. Overall would highly recommend.

   Used an Itison voucher and would highly recommend The White Goose. Plenty of choice, great quality and good size portions. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Will definitely eat here again.

   very slow service. 1 starter was wrong even after wait staff double checking the order twice, decided not to sent it back as had already waited a while. out of 4 mains 2 were tasteless, 2 were average. felt like we did not receive full service as were using a discount voucher.

    We were staying in the area and a local recommended this place to us. My husband and i visited with our children and his parents. The restaurant appears cosy and well decorated and the menu was varied. We sat near the open kitchen, which initially we had no problem with, and were served by the two lovely waitresses on duty. As the night went on, we witnessed several very uncomfortable exchanges between the waiting staff and the two kitchen staff. The two ladies were extremely busy but remained polite, friendly, efficient and extremely helpful throughout, though it was obvious that, as time went on, they were flustered and upset with the treatment from the rude and grumpy kitchen staff! Our food was 'ok'. A couple of us ordered the Bangers and Mash and, instead of the Cumberland sausages described on the menu, we received what tasted like cheap, mushy, branded sausages. We didn't comment at the time as it would have caused more stress for the poor female staff! As we left, we tipped the waitresses and told them that we thought they were doing a wonderful job, in what was clearly a very unpleasant environment for them. We also told them how we had noticed how grumpy and unkind the kitchen staff had been towards them and it was a shame that they could not appreciate what a busy and demanding evening the ladies were having! Even my teenage daughter was appalled! I wouldn't return and I wouldn't recommend. Had we been sat further from the kitchen, we would have probably been blissfully unaware of the situation, given the professionalism of the ladies. I hope they find a job where they are treated as they should be!
