Cafe type restaurant. We had the Xmas menu. The food was adequate although my lamb was tough & my friend’s turkey was dry, she had to ask for more gravy. The portion sizes were great, not too much. The Xmas pudding was a little over cooked & swimming in brandy sauce. I loved the mock tail - it was Christmassy & felt a little special for a non alcoholic drink. It was quiet so we had a lovely chat & chilled evening.

Menu confusing. Soup lukewarm and stale bread. Main course undercooked. Overall a poor experience. More care required to ensure food is well cooked and hot.

The pastas on the menu were noted to have linguine but we were served penne without saying this would be the case - unfortunately penne was overcooked. The chicken alfredo had a good flavour but had olive oil poured on top to garnish and this made the dish overly oily - without this addition it would have been fine. The crumble had a nice flavour, however lacked actual berries in the filling. Loved it being served in a skillet, however would be better to fill one skillet fully and offer as a dessert for 2.

I had the steak pie - I most definitely wouldn't recommend it. Portion size, loads of chips and an unecessary salad to accompany. Friends had the orzo salmon and the fish and chips and wouldn't recommend. Other selection was the chicken supreme which our other firmed enjoyed.

It took 40 mins to get the coffee my friend had ordered and my 2nd tea. 2 tables left due to the time it took, and we both ordered the full breakfast. Plates came out, i has asked for mushrooms, back to kitchen, waitress took my plate back sorry no mushrooms. So issue number 1, the kitchen should advise the waiting staff whats not available. Also wanted the tomatoes as described what came out with my cooked breakfast was cold cherry tomatoes. What was advertised was roasted vine tomatoes, so I spoke to the waitress she went back to the kit kitchen with my plate again. Now I don't appreciate hearing the chef swearing from the kitchen, yes my plate went back twice because the items that I expected were not as advertised. And the streaky bacon that they used didn't come close to the Scottish back bacon as was on the menu. I've been for breakfast menu a couple of times and wanted to take my friend for a treat. I won't be rushing back. Waiting staff were great, the kitchen have a lot of work to do. If you can't get a full Scottish breakfast correct, well what hope have you got..

This was the worst food we've ever had served in a restaurant. We ordered starters of chicken nachos and scallops that were good and we both ordered steak pie for our main course which arrived luke warm. The lovely waitress apologised and took the meals away to heat up but when they were returned the meat was very tough and dry with no gravy at all and although we tried to eat it we left at least half of it on our plates. We certainly won't return -Very disappointed.
