The noise in the bar was loud but when we sat down it was ok. Service was faultless. Really impressed. Would definitely re-visit.

We called for a late lunch on Sunday and the team looked after us very well. Food was very good and arrived quickly and the service was very friendly.

I would'nt recommend for the food at the moment, sorry. We have always loved the food but not so much this time, sorry. I had haddock and chips. The haddock was very very greasy and the chips had been fried a while beforehand and kept warm. My Dad had crumble for pudding and the cast iron pan was so hot he almost burnt his hands. I do feel that it has gone down a little in quality, sorry.

Sunday lunch wasn't as nice as normal. very short staffed had to wait ages for ordering desert and then ages receiving desert ..not the normal service we have received. Restaurant looked little untidy too.

We often visit on a Sunday, good food and great value for 2 courses. Service seemed slower than usual this week, we dined at 5.20 (we were late for a 5pm booking I did ring to say and staff were great about it) everyone had eaten. I think it’s better to visit slightly earlier.

We usually love the White Hart and look forward to visiting but on this occasion we were disappointed. The staff are very good and the food is tasty but we had to send back a Sunday lunch as the Yorkshire pudding was cold. The meal was returned but the rest of the it was also barely warm. It was a shame as the starters of breaded prawns were delicious.

As an assistance dog user, I was very disappointed to be told I wasn’t allowed to eat in the main restaurant and that “dogs” have to stay in the bar side. I have never been duscrinated against previously in one of their sister venues before so this was a bit of a shock, I also didn’t appreciate a “pet dog” having a barking fit at my well behaved dog under the table by my feet. As our visit was for my mothers 83rd birthday, this wasn’t what I expected or should have had to accept. The food was quite average, and it wasn’t particularly hot. The waiting staff however were friendly bringing my dog water and a treat. After visiting previously for a drink sitting in the beautiful gardens, I was in no doubt that this is where to treat mum for her birthday. I will think twice before visiting any of these related venues in the future.

We were first in at twelve but God knows how long the plates had been under the warmer. Average food for above average prices.
