   Can recommend the food excellent quality and good portion size without over facing. Nice place to go for a treat as some of the dishes expensive. Our third visit when we have been in the area on holiday and would visit again

   Excellent value for money and food quality. Fish and chips and smoked haddock chowder as a starter were both first class. Service was slow but it was busy so understandable. Despite having booked a week and a half ahead, we were seated in a dark corner which we didn’t particularly appreciate. It was also quite noisy where we were seated. Wouldn’t hesitate to visit again but would hope for a better table somewhere lighter and more at the heart of the restaurant.

   Starter was good we had scallops and cheese soufflé but the main course of Rump steak was very poor I asked for medium to well cooked steak and it was rare, how can you ask for a medium to well and be served rare steak, is just mind boggling, we skipped the deserts due to our pore main course, would not return to this restaurant again.

   The service and food was exceptional, nothing was too much trouble. Whilst not on the menu they cooked a couple of sausages for our dog to have while we were eating. Overall a lovely evening which was not rushed in any way. Would highly recommended eating here.
