   Easy to book a reservation. Ended up seated in a cramped area right by the service entrance door which was really annoying when there where plenty of tables available. That is one of the reasons for the score. Service was attentive, but not amazing, especially at that price point. The Mimosa flight was fun and the eggs Benedict flight on point. We would definitely go back again.

   We were a little hesitant honestly after reading the past reviews but decided to try anyway and make our own determination and that was the right decision! The ambiance after entering is great, modern and still captures history of the location. Our waiter Josh was phenomenal - great suggestions and very attentive, we learned that they are now under new management and that must be what made all the difference in the world. The food was great, the service was great and I can’t wait to come back for brunch or dinner again.

   Overall, the experience at Wilbur was quite pleasant. When we were shown to our table in the middle of the room, next to a group who were talking rather loudly, I asked if we could have the table at the back of the room, with no other people seated next to us. It was a date night and wanted it to be more intimate. They kindly accommodated. Ambiance is important! The food and drinks were tasty. Had the wedge salad and burrata toast— both delicious, but not a huge portion. Shareable if you’re not super hungry. The entrees— crab cake and lobster ravioli— were also delicious. Nice portions. The lobster ravioli was a bit lukewarm but otherwise good. Drinks— old fashioned was superb and strong! And I’m seasoned old fashioned drinker. Delicious wine, reasonably priced for a glass. But the piece de resistance was the dessert— berry tart with vanilla ice cream. So so good! Definitely don’t share this one! It’s too good. The service was excellent, friendly and attentive waitress. She gets 5 stars!! Unfortunately I can’t remember her name! It was rather busy for a Tuesday, she had quite a few tables, with one group staying quite awhile, but she handled it smoothly. Unfortunately where I deduct points is we told them it was our wedding anniversary and we received nothing. Most restaurants will give you a little something on these occasions. But not Wilbur. So that was disappointing. But this is a wonderful establishment otherwise, in a beautiful setting, and I will be likely visit again in the future. Just not for our anniversary!

   Sat at the bar which was nice. Liked the vibe. Bartenders were overwhelmed so service suffered. Fish taco’s and Cauliflower crust mushroom flatbread were good. Lemongrass chicken orzo soup was just ok. No lemongrass flavor so it was pretty much just a lukewarm bowl of average chicken soup.

   We adore Wilbur Mansion for Happy Hour. The bartenders are skilled and engaging. Unfortunately, we were seated for dinner as a couple in a room with a party of 17 and were quickly overlooked and overcome with the unavoidable noise of a large party. There were timing issues with the food coming out, and the fish entrees we ordered lacked in flavor. Our lovely server was working her tail feathers off, but she was greatly outnumbered. We will absolutely return for the bar! It's really a lovely place and I think we just experienced an off-night.

   Over the past few years we’ve been here several times. Our recent visit was the best food and experience we’ve had. The scallops appetizer (also available as a full portion) were phenomenal. The crab cake was an 8 ounce mountain of lump crab that I haven’t seen anywhere else in this area. I don’t have a picture of it because I dug in immediately. If you’ve been before it’s time to go back. If you haven’t, go.
