   £45 a head for 3 courses soft drinks only. Reasonable enough, Most of the food was tasty couple of the dishes not up to much.

   We were looking for a light lunch so opted for the Scallop starter and a dessert each. The scallops were delicious and both our desserts were good. My only quibble would be £14 for three scallops but they were really good!

   The Woodside never fails to accomplish serving good food with great service and value. Love the interior design and great atmosphere. Would always highly recommend a visit

   We gad a delicious meal of salmon and crushed potatoes. My husband had sticky toffee pudding which was also very good.

   Stayed here for 1 night and ate in the restaurant. No fancy food (which is a good thing) but really tasty, well presented pub food. I had the steak pie and it was very good, not too much pastry and plenty of moist filling served with chips, carrots and crispy kale. My wife had the salmon which she said was perfectly cooked and had a lovely crispy skin. We both had the Tarte Tatin with ice cream which was a bit too sweet for our taste but still nice. We finished off with coffee sitting by a roaring fire while the snow fell outside. Lovely meal, young, pleasant, and attentive staff and good value too.
