Meaning land and sea in Welsh, our restaurant and bar, Tir a Môr, takes its cue from our bayside location and the very best produce Wales has to offer.

The kitchen puts a modern twist on our country’s culinary heritage, from Severn & Why smoked salmon, cod and spring onion fishcake to roasted Brecon lamb rump, punchnep hash, creamed Blas y Tir leeks and rosemary jus to slow cooked Welsh beef brisket. Desserts elevate traditional puddings, such as Bara Brith bread and butter pudding, and apple and berry crumble with vanilla and Penderyn whiskey custard.

Our Welsh credentials carry through to our drinks list, with local spirits playing a starring role in our signature cocktails and our own takes on the classics.

I booked this as I wanted a special meal to celebrate my daughter's graduation and there were 10 of us.Unfortunately the a la carte menu wasn't available and we were left with a very basic over priced bar menu. Most people ordered the burger which was fine but nothing special for the price - £22 .Three of us ordered the gammon but were disappointed to be presented with two slices of ham ,no gammon ! The dessert menu was limited and again over priced at £9 ,no one liked the sound of any of the choices enough to pay £9 for one particulary as the meal weren't inspiring .No one came to the table during our meal to ask if everything was ok .Sadly my daughter's graduation meal will be memorable for all the wrong reasons .

Pleasant afternoon tea experience with restaurant highly accommodating after train issues delayed our arrival by about half an hour. Ideally would have a slightly better savoury/sweet balance but everything was very tasty. Feels slightly overpriced for the experience, though the view over the bay towards Penarth is stunning.

Mains were shockingly poor… COLD…. Ridiculous small portion of pork. More like a slice of bacon. I can never understand why head chefs let food go out cold surely,,,that is part of their responsibility. We were not charged but that event spoilt our evening. Won’t recommend and won’t be going back….COVID has been gone for 3 yrs… that excuse has been milked now.

Nice food, but expensive for what you got. Ordered the steaks however didn’t come as we wanted them cooked. Service wasn’t very attentive. It was ok, but not the quality you’d expect from a restaurant in a 5star hotel

Lovely lady greeted us and showed us to our table which was nestled in a corner next to the glass windows overlooking the bay . Drinks orders taken promptly and glasses of water provided which were topped up. We went for the two course meal and had salmon for one starter and pâté for the other - both tasty Beef Sunday lunch main course was also delicious and the vegetables were also cooked to perfection.

Whereas my starter was perfect (crab crumpet) my wife's Caerphilly Caesar croutons were too big and far too hard to eat comfortably. ( the restaurant acknowledged this and we were not charged for the dish). We both loved our main courses, I had the lamb rump which was truly delicious, my wife had the porcheta. She found the dish so tasty she said that should would order it again the following night if we had been staying another night. We both had the bara birth and agreed that, though tasty and pleasant it was not what we would call a true bara birth.

Food was nice but did not come out as described, ie no raspberries with lemon tart as stated. Also veg came out some ten minutes after the roast. Nice spot of dinner and a good price but lacking something.

Poor service-had 2 tables and 1 table was done eating before we got our food. We had to keep flagging staff for water, to order, to pay. Not busy on a Wednesday night, but everything took forever. Haike fish was bland, but appetizers were good. View was nice, but I would never return. Dining area was very plain looking. Not a special night out at all.
