The restaurant was bright and clean and the vibe was really good. The food was ok, but nothing to get overly excited about. There weren’t enough options for breakfast and the menu layout left a lot to be desired. The other issue that jumped out at me is the automatic charge of 18% gratuity on all orders and 20% for parties of 4 or more. Breakfast shouldn’t cost $80 buckets for two people that didn’t even include an alcoholic beverage. Not a restaurant that I would go back to but seems to be a trend with minority owed business now that needs to be reconsidered. I think this practice of imposing such high gratuity will “price-out” the core patrons out for this locations.

They don’t allow you your full time of your reservation, was rushed with the bill within a hour sitting down. Our party couldn’t even finish their drinks and was stares down until we left the table after we paid.

I loved this restaurant, We celebrated 2 birthdays with a brunch on Saturday. We were seated immediately. We ordered the lamb chop special, gumbo and catfish with creamy grits. The peach cobbler french toast were amazing as well as the cajun deviled eggs! They are a mist try. The staff were professional, we will be back.

The best part were the drinks.
1. This place is pretty small
2. They add 18% gratuity to the bill for parties of 3 ppl or less (this isn’t ideal b/c even if service isn’t good, they get this tip???)
3. My friend’s avocado toast had barely any avocado and I’ve never seen this made with regular degular sliced white bread. BOTH of our entrees - shrimp & grits and jambalaya alfredo - were EXTREMELY greasy and the alfredo was missing shrimp. When we told our server she came back with 4 shrimp and told us the cook said he was moving too fast (smh).
I see what they are trying to do but the mark is being missed, sorely. Highly unlikely that either of us will return.

The grits and gumbo with the catfish filet was 20/10! I also had salmon croquettes and the deviled eggs with shrimp. Both were really good! The peach ting was also 10/10 and it was strong.
