   Made a reservation for 6:15, didn’t get seated until almost 7. Service again was mediocre. Work in the center and should be a convenient, delicious, friendly, vibe place to go. It used to be. I am going again with a friend on Monday night, fingers crossed the team is friendlier!!

   We had a reservation for inside seating because the weather was cool and arrived early. We were told we would be seated as soon as the table was free. Waited for 15-20 min. and told they were setting up the table. Waited another 10 min. and told they were setting up the table. After additional waiting we were told our table was available and we were ushered to a table on the patio. Fortunately, we were right by a heater, but it was still a little cool and breezy. We didn't make a fuss because it was already well past our reservation time and we didn't want to wait any longer. Reception staff was friendly and courteous, but maybe not experienced. Otherwise, it is a wonderful place to eat...food and service is always wonderful!

   The food is excellent! I heartily recommend the Cocoanut Shrimp. It's listed as an appetizer but comes with coleslaw and there are 5 shrimp, so with a bit of bread it makes a nice lunch. My grandson had a tasty looking Vegan dish. The service is outstanding at the Newport location! I especially appreciate the manager, Pilar. If you haven't tried it, you must go!

   I have been to Tommy Bahamas 4+ times, and have always had great service. Today, the food and drinks were great, but service was subpar. Server did not bring or offer us bread or desserts. Server seemed overwhelmed, and also snatched menus out of my mom’s hand, and came off as rude. We were ready to purchase deserts and more food, but we were brought the check. Honestly I am really disappointed. I am not writing this to be vindictive, but I just want to let the server and restaurant know our experience. I will come back here in the future, and I hope service is better.

   A visit to Tommy Bahama on Christmas Eve has been a family tradition for about 15 years now, it’s always a good idea. Todays visit was no different and we can’t wait to return soon!
