We had an EXCEPTIONAL experience from the moment we walked in until we left. Our waiter was excellent, and he steered us in the right directions for selecting exquisite meals. The restaurant is beautiful - decor perfect and music was so relaxing. Thank you for an amazing evening!

We decided to try this new restaurant for my wife’s birthday as she loves lamb. The service was excellent. The young man who served us was professional, knowledgeable, attentive, and made the experience enjoyable. The salads were excellent. I had the duck, which while it was presented well and had a good flavor, was a rather small portion for the price. There was very little meat with this dish, so I was a bit disappointed. I feel like it should be advertised as an appetizer portion or small dish on the menu. My wife enjoyed the lamb. The portion was generous, but she felt it was rather dry and without the normal flavor she is used to. Overall, the restaurant is pleasant and inviting and the service is top notch, but the food for the price was a bit disappointing. On the other hand, the food’s presentation was appreciated and we could tell they paid attention to detail to create an attractive looking dish. The edible florals were a nice touch.

This was our first time. We love brunch and thought it would be the best way to celebrate my Mom’s birthday. She and I both had the Monte Cristo. It was pretty dry. We asked for extra raspberry sauce to try to help with that. There wasn’t enough on the sandwich in general. I had the grits, no cheese. They were very good. My Dad had the Prime Steak, said it was pretty good. The spicy bloody Mary’s were very good. Looking forward to coming back for dinner in the near future.

I lived in close proximity to NYC for most of my life. I was fortunate to be surrounded by amazing restaurants with the best food. It's made me a bit picky, but I think that is just fine. When I moved to the Lynchburg area, there was a huge void in restaurants putting out high quality food. I was expecting this. When I saw Tori Blue and read reviews I was really interested in trying it out. When I saw that the chef was Michelin star rated, I knew I had to try it. I had really high expectations. When my husband I walked in we loved the look and feel of the restaurant. It is open and airy and very welcoming. The staff was also great. Both my husband and I began with the harvest salad. When I asked the waitress about the dressing's ingredients, I was told it was made with cottonseed oil. That made my radar go up. Cottonseed oil is commonly used because it is cheap, but if I am paying $12 for a small salad, at a higher-end restaurant, I'm expecting better quality (like olive oil). The salad was fine and unimpressive. My husband ordered the rib eye which came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. His dish was swimming in some kind of gravy. It was too much and kind of ruined the dish. I had the roasted half chicken. From the moment the plate was laid in front of me, I couldn't get past the off-putting smell. It too was swimming in gravy and had a very unappealing looking thick, light pink sauce/dressing drizzled along the edges of the dish. The menu said roast chicken; I even asked about how it was prepared. The chicken meat was dry; it reminded me of crock pot chicken that had been cooking for far too long; I didn't finish it or opt to bring the rest home. We spent $118 on two salads, two entrees, and one iced tea. For the price we paid, we were very disappointed. The quality of the food was not higher end. While the restaurant may be considered higher end for this area, it is still not. We won't be going back.

New Year’s Eve Dinner Review: Disappointing Service Overshadowed a Lovely Menu I recently attended a New Year’s Eve dining experience featuring a four-course meal with champagne pairings. While the menu itself was thoughtfully curated, the service and unexpected charges left much to be desired. The evening started with promise—beautiful ambiance, elegant plating, and a festive atmosphere. The courses were delicious, with fresh ingredients and impressive presentation. The appetizers set the tone nicely, and the main courses delivered on taste and creativity. Unfortunately, the overall experience was soured by subpar service. Our waiter seemed completely unprepared for the event, lacking knowledge about the dishes being served and the champagnes paired with each course. When asked for recommendations or details, their vague and uncertain responses left us guessing. Another significant disappointment was the $25 gratuity per person added to the bill without prior notice. It was buried at the bottom of the receipt, bringing my total from $139.17 to $164.17, despite my explicit authorization for the former. This charge felt unnecessary, especially since I had already left a generous cash tip. While the food was lovely and the event had great potential, poor service and hidden fees took away from what should have been a special celebration. For $125 per person, I expected more transparency, professionalism, and an informed staff. I hope management addresses these issues to improve future dining experiences.
