   As always, my dinner at Tosca was a truly memorable experience. The seafood gnocchi was exquisite, the chocolate mousse-type dessert was sinful, our server was perfect, the noise level was low and the vibe was elegant but relaxed. A superb restaurant.

   Another beautiful, delicious meal at Tosca. My husband's veal was cooked to perfection and he ate every last drop of the sauce. My seafood pasta was delicious. Our wine and appetizers were perfect too. The service was wonderful, friendly informative and attentive except for one detail. Firm but creamy desserts were served to us with a fork and a large soup spoon. When a teaspoon was requested another soup spoon appeared. Desserts are to be eaten either with a fork or a teaspoon, depending on their texture. I do not understand how a fine dining restaurant can get this detail wrong. Other than that the dinner was perfect.

   The food and service were excellent. Noise level was very tame, actually on the quiet side. I really enjoyed the menu choices.

   I had an amazing experience, as usual. Our server Chris was attentive and engaging. The managers checked-in to make sure we were comfortable, and food and drinks were to our satisfaction. The food is outstanding! Period. Every dish was absolutely delicious as well as the crafted cocktails. If you plan to go, check out the menu but don't make up your mind before arrival. The chef will definitely have something on the specials that will make you rethink your decision.

   Tosca has been one of our favorite restaurants over the years however this last experience was well below expectations. First of all, the dinner was delivered but the side orders came much later, almost after we were all more than half way done with our dinner and only after us having to ask, “what happened to our side orders?”. Secondly, the veal which I ordered was hard, did not taste fresh. For a place of this caliber, this is unacceptable .

   Tosca remains my favorite place to dine in DC. Their menu is wonderful with so many options based on Northern Italian cuisine. We had the Cavatelli, the Agnolotti and the Steak and every thing was excellent! Their desserts were heavenly! Pumpkin cheesecake, an Apple fused dish and Tiramisu. It’s just great to go someplace where you know you’ll have a most amazing meal and be treated with such kindness! Chris is a most wonderful server! Ask for him by name!

    We did a date night at Tosca and took advantage of the fresh Truffles they were featuring. This was not the typical microscopic truffle shaving you get elsewhere- they really expended some truffles. Starting with a beef carpaccio with endive and truffles- amazing. I was lucky enough to score a veal chop - perfectly prepared and portioned just right. Of course the truffles just bring out the best. The starter courses were two delightful pastas- one of which was all egg yolks- no water. Perfect. Tosca has become our #1 destination restaurant- the ambiance and service are worthy of a star or two. Jonathon and Brian really go the extra mile to make the experience memorable.
