   The menu is interesting and does have a few new twists to traditional Mexican dishes. Problem is even the best food is not very good when served like warm at best. Our server was nice enough when we saw him but was as charismatic as a slug. Perhaps he was having a bad day. While there were a handful of kids busily filling water glasses or picking up plates, our server would disappear and not be seen until too late. All in all our experience was disappointing. However, to their credit, our subtle comment regarding the food was seriously taken, and with sincere apologies and two plates comped, there was an amount of redemption. We will give TQLAS another chance some time in the future and I am confident it will be a better experience.

   We had a great dinner last night - our first time at Tqlas! Valerie was our server - she was attentive and positive and professional. The GM Christina also stopped by to make sure we were happy. The busboy was very efficient. Food was great too so a win-win!

   The food is different and unique (compared to traditional Mexican/American food). Service was great, very attentive. Try it for some place different!

   2nd visit and both have been good - nothing exceptional but good enough to return so we will give it another try real soon I hope.

   The food was terrible. Had no flavor at all. I ordered ahi tuna tacos. It was ahi tuna and cucumber and avocado thrown in a taco. No sauce at all. The tuna was not marinated. They have no frozen margaritas which was a big disappointment. For dessert we ordered the churros and for $12 you had basically one large churro with ice cream. I do not recommend this place. And service was so slow to top it off.

   Had a weird experience at TQLAS today. It started off ok with them getting us seated quickly and everyone being very welcoming and friendly. Once we sat down, a server greeted us and sent waters, chips and salsa to our table. A few minutes later, someone else stopped by to ask about apps and drinks. We put an appetizer order in then drinks. As he's taking our drink order, the first waitress came over and started fighting with him about how this was her table. It was super awkward and we were all very uncomfortable. We then ordered drinks with her, which most came out pretty good. The sandia margarita was tasty but the table didn't like the spicy margaritas. We got our apps of guacamole and wings. The guacamole was ok, nothing special, but one person at our table bit into a wing which was literally still frozen in the middle. After that, we didn't see our waitress as often as before and had to flag her down to take our order. The food was all pretty good. We liked the tacos--fish, chicken tikka masala and barbacoa. They cleared the plates but then it took a while to get the check and have her come back to grab it. We saw her chatting with people at the bar so ended up taking it up to them. Overall, food was pretty good, I'd say 4/5 but the service left a lot to be desired, 2/5.

   We had an early reservation work meeting and dinner and they put six of us at a four top table and end capped up so it was extremely tight and uncomfortable. I understand if the place had full reservation, but we were the only table in that area up until we left. The team enjoyed their dinner and delicious drinks. I like that they are incorporating more vegan options. I really like the decor and ambience, when it cools off the patio will be fantastic! The new manager was engaging.

   The taco de pescado and the California burrito were both very good. I expected this to be more of an authentic Mexican restaurant and it was more upscale. The food was good and the service was very friendly. Just not the usual Mexican food experience I was expecting. We had a nice meal. Just wish I was aware of the vibe before I went.

    Everyone was inside due to it being so hot out. Was VERY noisy. Couldn’t hear each other at the same table. Also, menu prices didn’t match bill. They fixed the issue, but didn’t even know this was the case until we pointed it out. How many others were overcharged??
