    The food, at any price, was second rate. Most local italian restaurants in NYC do better. my veal was tasteless and overcooked, and entrees, tho costly, come with nothing, no veggie or pasta. this restaurant i think survives cause it is across the street from Carnegie Hall and two blocks from city center. this was most disappointing cause i ate at trattoria many times in its early days when it was excellent. now mainly a tourist trap.

    This is a decent enough restaurant, convenient location and good food. They really rush you though, bringing the entree while you are still eating the starters. Desserts need to be shared. If you’re in a hurry, and don’t mind spending money, it’s okay. But for a special evening out there are much better places.

    I loved this restaurant and have been several times, but on this occasion running late and only at the table 30 minutes, the starter and main course rushed then presented with a bill for 252 dollars which was not the problem, then rudely reminded by the waiter tip should be 20% and extra 46 dollars for no experience and rushed food, i appreciate it was late , but i do not expect to be told thats what a waiter gets paid for is the tip when i was giving him ample tip for little or no service and have my card thrown at me back wont be back again
