Trattoria Emilia is an authentic Italian restaurant focusing on seasonal produce and fresh pasta. Head chefs Francesco Rota and Luca Flammia hail from Modena in Emilia Romagna.

At Trattoria Emilia we seasonally change the menu and source a large majority of our produce from regional Victoria, our meat is organic and sustainably grown in Tasmania and Victoria and we import some of the best Italian DOC products. Some dishes that are not to be missed are our Tortelloni Emiliani and the crowd favourite salumi misti with gnocco fritto and tigelle served with mortadella mousse.

Rustic, yet refined, Trattoria Emilia boasts fantastic ambience, attentive and professional service whilst all the while remaining a great casual dining spot perfect for a quick lunch, a long relaxing dinner with friends and has always been a romantic date spot.

I you are wanting a quick meal of one or two courses, the à la carte menu is only available for lunch or early dinner reservations (starting from 5:00 - 5:30 pm with a 1.5-hour sitting time).     What a great almost hidden gem. For dinner you have choice of 3 or 5 courses. The 3 course option was still way too much for for us but it was soooo delicious . Drinks were really reasonably priced. I would prefer a 2 course option if at all possible but will be back when more hungry! Ps we don't usually eat much so probably perfect for most people

    Authentic Italian food, I had the slow cook lamb, my son the steak and husband pasta all meals perfect we finished our meal with a beautiful dessert definitely be back when we visit Melbourne again

    It's always a fabulous experience dining at Trattoria Emilia. Last night was no exception - a welcoming & bustling atmosphere, knowledgable & friendly service, absolutely delicious food & drinks. We felt like we'd been transported to Italy!

    Love this restaurant. It’s buzzy, and a lot of fun. Good service. Didn’t love their take on tiramisu and sword fish was the fish of the day which disappointed me but the pasta was great. A few out there dishes are also on the menu for the more adventurous!

    Fabulous food. Best swordfish I’ve ever eaten. Great wine list with good Italian wines. Outstanding service from our wonderful waitress. A thoroughly enjoyable lunch.

    Fabulous authentic Italian food complimented with a super wine list and served with friendly knowledgeable staff. A meal to be remembered in a non pretentious atmosphere redolent of Italy itself.
