The food was excellent, especially the Wagyu spinalis steak, oysters, chicken, and filets. Although very good, the sides were embarrassingly small, only the asparagus was “shareable”. Now, let’s discuss the noise level. There is not a noise level rating high enough to describe how loud it is in this restaurant. If you’re looking for a romantic meal, this is not your place, unless you like shouting at each other.

Thank you for your review, Julie! We're thrilled that you enjoyed the food and we're terribly sorry that the noise level at the restaurant made for a less than desirable experience; weekends do tend to get lively at the restaurant. We shall pass this feedback along to our management team, but we do hope that you come back to visit us again.
Thank you!

Made a reservation for my wife’s birthday - just the two of us. Our reservation was at 8pm and we arrived at 7:55pm. We waited over an hour to be seated as they kept telling us “a few more minutes before we seat you”. There were many others who had reservations prior to us who had been waiting for over an hour as well. Completely unacceptable.
Once we were seated, no happy birthday or any acknowledgment of why we were there. Usually when we go to Nick & Sam’s, Eddie V’s or Perry’s , they send us complimentary apps, champagne, desserts or at very least decorate our table…here, nothing.
Food was not bad which is why I gave 2 stars, but the atmosphere was pretty basic. Except for the horse chandelier the place was underwhelming. No noticeable dress code (there were literally two guys in bath robes). The booth we were finally sat at reminded me of a Texas road house. If you’re looking for a white linen table experience, this isn’t it.
We ordered raw oysters, filets, lobster tails, lobster Mac & cheese, wild mushrooms and their terrible take on banana fosters for dessert. It was way overpriced, especially for the portion sizes- not worth trying. Save your time, money and frustration. DFW has way too many upscale steakhouses to chance a disastrous night at this sub par place.

For the hype and price of this place, it definitely didn’t live up to the billing. Super loud although half empty, freezing cold, waiter knocked water on us, that aside the food was decent yet overpriced for what you get.

My husband and I had a great date night at Trick Rider!
The bartenders make the best cocktails! We shared the grilled artichoke , Caesar salad, 10z filet and chocolate silk pie. Everything was perfection! We will be back soon!

The filet with blue cheese in top was phenomenal. The broccolini was also delicious and the drinks were well handcrafted and tasted great!

Ambience and waitstaff are wonderful, however very pricey and found a lot of the food over salted.

Experience/service with Sean and Cameron from start to finish was top notch. We started with the cesar salad and the homemade croutons were amazing. My wife had the Filet and I got the Wagyu Short Rib and both were some of the best we have ever had. The Wagyu literally melted in your mouth!! Don’t skip it! We finished with chocolate pie which we would highly recommend. Overall, Trick Rider lives up to the hype and is a top 2-3 steakhouse in Dallas! We will be back very soon!
