   I took my mother to Tricky's for a Mother's Day evening meal and we had chose a quiet table on a raised platform in the corner. This was nice and private and out of the way, which we prefer. Our drinks order was taken quickly and brought equally so. Our waiter than came and asked if we would like to order before he took a bulk order on a large table nearby to avoid a longer wait, which was very thoughtful. The starter came quickly and was delicious - mine the Prawn Cocktail and Mum's the brie bites, which were very substantial. There was a longer wait for the main course but still acceptable given the day. We both had fish and chips which was very tasty, cooked fresh and piping hot on arrival. So an excellent meal in a nice, quiet environment served politely and efficiently.

   Really friendly and accommodating staff making our get together really chilled and special. Will definitely go again.

   Unfortunately disappointing! Took mums in for a breakfast treat, wait time after ordering was quite a wait while the restaurant was very quiet, breakfast was not particularly warm and £9.50 for French toast turned out to be very expensive for 1 piece of bread and four berries

   Great food and great service. Food and plate were very hot, and it was all on one plate. I don't like my meal on a plate, two dishes and a slate.

   Two visits within the past week and each time our group was welcomed with a smile and friendly service by the hardworking staff. The food was fab, hot and tasty and a generous serving. We'll be back!!

    When we arrived they had no record of our booking although I had a reminder from Opentable and showed it to the young woman. She said someone else had booked the table although there was no one there. We then had to sit at a different table than the one requested. It was by a window and quite chilly. The food was good as always but unfortunately the empty dessert dishes were not taken away so we moved them to a different table. We have been to Trickys on many occasions and have not had this problem before. May be because the gentleman who usually serves us was not there.
