Open Table recommended Trova because we were close by and so we decided to try it. Big mistake. Every aspect of the service seemed like it was being done by people who were on their first day on the job. I even asked our bartender if she was new to the job that’s how tentative and uninformed she was about something as basic as what was included in the Tasting Menu! Our hostess started showing us to a table when we arrived although we specifically had reserved bar seating on the Open Table app. Our bartender Cyd - although sweet and well-intentioned- had 0 knowledge of the most basic service essentials. My husband got his cocktail, no napkin underneath, and I was not even asked if I wanted something for a full ten minutes. As a former restaurateur, I know I have standards but Trova obviously has a very low bar. Friday night and what should be a highlight of the menu- the cochinillo- was 86ed. Appetizers were good. The pulpo and the nigiri . However, entrees were subpar. $50 for bistec encebollado???? Arroz de la montaña was a tasteless, over-heated, longaniza absent disappointment. No silverware roll-ups behind the bar so we had to wait to dig into the biggest culinary disappointment in the last 15 years. No way we were going for dessert . Dear Cyd had no idea, in spite of being 4 months on the job, that parking was included in our $230 estafa. One cocktail and two glasses of wine. There seemed to be a manager sitting at the end of the bar carrying on restaurant business for all to hear. Perhaps she should do less posing and more training.

Yesterday, my wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Trova Restaurant in Palmas del Mar, and it was truly a memorable experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy, inviting atmosphere that set the tone for the evening. The food was exceptional – flavorful, thoughtfully presented, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. Each dish we tried exceeded our expectations, leaving us curious and excited to return and explore more of their interesting and diverse menu options. A special mention goes to our server, Saúl Santini, who provided excellent service throughout the evening. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure we felt well taken care of without being intrusive. His professionalism and friendly demeanor really enhanced our experience. Overall, Trova Restaurant is a gem in Palmas del Mar. We’re already looking forward to our next visit to continue this delicious journey. Highly recommended!

Sat outside by the pool. Food was not to order at first. Server immediately fixed the problem and brought the correct order. Food was delicious and the service was fast and friendly, outstanding! We will be back.

First night in town. We ate onsite. The food was very good, but the service was outstanding. The waitress, Cheyenne or derivative thereof, was great. She was professional, knowledgeable and very friendly. She guided us through the selections on the menu. I had the short ribs which were cooked to perfection. My wife had the Caldo Gallego soup which she loved. I addition to the food suggestions, Cheyenne was very knowledgeable about things to do and places to see locally. She made our night! We will be dining here again tonight.
