It kills me to give a poor review! The first time we dined at True Blue, the service, food, and ambience were sensational! Sadly, our second visit was a very different experience. The food remained consistent while the service was absent. First, we were placed at a clearly forgotten high top in the bar room. They clearly overbooked and we were the table that paid the price. Based on our initial experience, we had been raving about True Blue to our friends. We were so excited to celebrate their birthdays last night. We were 4 guests that were sat at a table meant for 2. We requested to sit at a larger table due to the size of our party and the meals we intended to order. They were unable to accommodate. Our server rarely visited our table. They forgot plates, silverware and our drinks took about 20 minutes to get. If you go to True Blue, make sure they seat you in the dining room and you have a table with enough room for your dishes and drinks.

Everyone was so nice and welcoming from the door, waiter, & servers. The food was great and and had a spectrum of items on the menu. Prices were fair. Eric was an amazing server!

My girlfriend and I celebrated our anniversary here and it was such an amazing experience! From the moment we stepped into the restaurant until we left we were smiling. The menus were printed with a “happy anniversary” at the top and a few of the team members signed them saying happy anniversary. Various team members told us happy anniversary and they treated us so nicely for the special date. The steak sampler was so much steak and some of the best steak we’ve ever had! We loved our experience here and would definitely come back.

The food, service and ambience was wonderful! Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable. That said, everything was a la cart, everything! That fact made the bill $100 more than it has been for similar experiences. Now that we know what to expect, we’d still go back but not very often.

Food was okay. Fries were “ bottom of the barrel “ leftovers. Steak good ! Salad was good but too much dressing. Wines limited selection by the glass !! 🤨

It’s been a while since we dined at true blue. The service has always been superb. But main menu items came without sides or much else. Excellent food well prepared but not well presented or with any added flavors. However we were delighted with our meals on this evening. Their menu has expanded with added main and side dishes. As usual our server was delightful. The Burrata salad was excellent and enough for two. We chose one seafood and one poultry main dish with a shared side. Each was excellent. Perfectly prepared and in large portions.

Best burgers @ Wilmington with a great presentation.`. Restaurant staff is fantastic and always accommodating. It’s a great team at Tru Blue. Always see Eli (manager) working diligently helping the staff in any way he can. Our server, Emma, was exceptional. Would highly recommend True Blue! Wednesday’s Smash Burgers are worth the wait!
