   True foods is usually top-notch. Tonight it was some bar from beginning to end. I would be happy to discuss with a manager if they have an interest.

   I think I was a little let down after hearing this place hyped up for a few years. I had a salad from the seasonal menu with chicken added. The salad itself was considered a main dish, but it wasn't very satisfying. It was beautiful, and a good mix of flavors, but the chicken was very dry and tough--and a smaller portion of it than what I expected. The restaurant was super cute but awfully noisy. Kind of on the fence about whether or not I would return.

   We sat outside under a heat lamp, it was warm enough and not too loud.

    I was looking forward to my True Crisp'd chicken order - it was edible but the chicken and kale slaw had no flavor. I did eat all of it it because I was really hungry and didn't want to complain. I've been pleased with what I've ordered at True Food Kitchen in the past so this was such a disappointment. However, Rosa our server was wonderful - friendly and attentive, and she let me have a sip of wine to taste before I made my selection. Kudos to her upselling - I was going to just order a 9oz pour but I was there during happy hour so she suggested getting a bottle and I could take home what was left. I enjoyed with my home-cooked meal the next day.
