   We were seated for our reservations within an acceptable wait time while a table was cleared. Our request for a window seat was honored. Bo, our server was adequate, though his demeanor could’ve been more welcoming and warm…the dining room was filled with guests. We had longer than necessary gaps between table clearings and general welfare checks by our server. We opted for the roasted cauliflower soup as a starter, and while it was very tasty, all four soups arrived borderline cold. The cornbread dressing, mashed potatoes, broccoli casserole and turkey were all lukewarm. I get that these items were prepared in advance due to the Thanksgiving holiday, but serving them lukewarm wasn’t acceptable. We’d visited two years prior for Thanksgiving, and several times since then with no issues. This experience was made more underwhelming because of Thanksgiving.

   The food was delicious and had leftovers to take home. Unfortunately, the person who packed our leftovers just dumped all the sides in the same container without any care. The mashed potatoes, cornbread stuffing and broccoli-rice casserole all mixed together like a big unappetizing mush. I should have packed it myself. In a high end restaurant I didn’t expect that.

   This was my second time dining here. The first time was a few weeks ago and the experience was excellent. This time our steak was served and it smelled and tasted bad. While they quickly removed and prepared a chicken dish, I wouldn’t go back. Paying $300 for dinner requires a certain expectation and bad meat has ruined my brand experience. I won’t return again.

   First time - Horrible experience (ordered food, waited an hour plus, didn’t receive food; received a gift card as compensation/solution from Manager). Good ambiance, service chaotic. Second time - more or less of the same situation (ordered food, waited 30 minutes for food, items ordered were missing/wasn’t received). Good ambiance & items received were good. Overall conclusion: Chaotic service (long wait time for food, plus ordered items was forgotten/not received both times). Good ambiance, service chaotic. Given the menu prices and “encouraging a polished dress style” note/dining guideline, the service didn’t match either time.

   I know Truluck has had better nights but unfortunately my experience this time was disappointing. Long gaps between orders and luke warm food. Thank you to the manager, John, for trying to make things better.

    We went to celebrate the birthday of two people. The server Abi was very personable and recommended goof food selections It was a very pleasant surprise how the restaurant went out to make our birthdays very celebratory. My steak was delicious and cooked to as I requested and the cocktail was very good. Everyone in the party was pleased that I recommended the restaurant. I will definitely return again.
