   I love Tupelo Honey, and this visit was disappointing. When I arrived, signs stated they would be closing for a corporate event at 7pm. My reservation was for 6pm. I believe cutting off service earlier in the day would have been better. I even asked the hostess if it would be better for us to go elsewhere. We had reservations in the bar. The bartender took our order, but the expected level of attentiveness was missing. I ordered the Cobb salad with salmon on the side. The salmon was dry. The pecan pie was not good. Then, as we were still there talking and trying to celebrate my birthday, they were cleaning, moving chairs around, etc. It was just so different from any other experience at Tupelo Honey.

   It was overall good. We had to wait a little. Food took a long time to come to table. The iced coffee that was ordered - was an issue. They didn’t have the ingredients - checked w us. Then didn’t bring the coffee for over 30 min (with modifications). They ran out of eggs so they asked if two of the dishes could be scrambled eggs instead of over easy. One person in the party said their dish was cold which was disappointing. The food was all very good and the waitress did a nice job. I think they may have been understaffed.

   This restaurant has excellent chicken. However, the rest of the menu leaves something to be desired. My wife liked the chicken. I ordered the fish and it was like rubber. The salad came out with the entree and the Mac and cheese was dry and tasteless. Overall, skip this restaurant unless you like chicken.

   Food and service was excellent, everyone enjoyed. Had the smash burger, meatloaf, salmon, pork shoulder and surf and turf. Fantastic meal with family and friends . Great value and superb food.

   Wonderful service and everyone in our party of 10 loved their appetizers and entrees. The drinks are also delicious, lavender lemonade, dirty iced chai and the flight of Mimosa’s were amazing! We can hardly wait to come back.

   My wife loves this place. It makes for a great date night. We visit the Franklin location every time we are in town.

   We have been to Tupelo Honey both in Asheville and in Franklin many times and loved it. It is our go to for solid Southern food and good service. This visit was a bit of a mixed bag. while the food was very good, the service we received was very subpar for them (our take was they were short staffed for the holiday). The restaurant was very accommodating in helping us move up our dinner reservation fifteen minutes. 5 of the 6 people in our group had flown in that day. Our server was nice but really inattentive, he walked away as we were ordering appetizers, we ordered two and were about to add another and he just walked away. Getting drinks refilled was also a challenge. The appetizers we did have the fried pickles and the green tomatoes were delicious, but not particularly hot. Three people in our party had the fried chicken and loved it, two people in our party had the salmon and said it was great. I had the shrimp and grits, it appears that my dish had been waiting a while for everyone else’s entrees because my entree was not hot, just barely warm. I tried looking for the server to alert him but was no where to be found. Normally we would have stuck around for dessert but after basically being ignored by our server the entire meal, we didn’t bother.

   We enjoyed the food and quality of the food. The food did not arrive to our table for about an hour due to the restaurant running out of chicken and steak. We were informed by the manager that seemed to be apologetic. She offered a free appetizer which we declined.

    Overall the experience was good, the service was great as were the drinks. The food was just ok. The pimento cheese dip was great, and the roasted potatoes were delicious. The chicken with mac and cheese waffles weren't very flavorful. The macaroni and cheese had no flavor with a gritty texture and the waffles were cold, the chicken however was good. This is just one rough food experience and it won’t stop me from going again. Past visits have been better with different plates ordered.
