   This was our first visit to Tupelo Honey this year. We had extended family come in town. They enjoyed Tupelo Honey. Great food and great service!

   I feel bad complaining about the food and how slooooooww the kitchen was given that a cook fell while we were there, but it was slow before that. Some of our food was lukewarm upon arrival and the biscuits, formerly my fave, were only mediocre. No one wanted to take the extra home for a change. Our server was overstretched I think, though she was nice and did her best. I honestly don’t have plans to return anytime soon.

   We had a party of 10 and they had our table ready when we arrived with waters at each place. Our server was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner!

   Great- short staffed and we were 30 minutes early for our reservation so we sat at the bar instead since they were slammed. Good food and service.

   The food was great. My daughters loved the salmon and I had chicken with greens and fried okra. I was surprised by how good the greens were. The server was practically absent and prolonged the stay. I won't berate him because everybody has tough days and lots of places are short staffed. But we saw enough to make it seem like management needs to reengage and motivate employees so that the service matches outstanding food.

   The appetizers were great (green tomatoes and Brussels sprouts). The chicken was also very good. The steak was not good. It was too tough, not cooked as requested, and just a miss. Other main complaint was the wait time. We got the appetizers at 6:65 and the main course at 7:48 (I have timestamps on the pictures I took).

    If I could give a 5+ star rating I would. We had such a great experience here. We made a reservation for my birthday brunch, and while we were there, almost everyone on staff wished me a happy birthday, a barista made me a dirty chai for my birthday, we got free desserts, and got $20 off of $40 through their loyalty program. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our experience was great, and I appreciate each and every one of them. The food was also beyond delicious. 6/5 stars in my opinion!!
