Equally adept at fueling Lido Village-bound shoppers is Tupelo Junction Cafe...the restaurant is true to the funky, Cannery Village side of the town's personality: Cocktails come in mason jars, the coffee mugs are country-style crockery, and the walls display fruit-crate labels as artwork. Everything is made from scratch daily serving Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
"The menu is packed with southern-influenced dishes like apple cinnamon beignets; a pulled-pork sloppy joe; or Amy's own favorite, a sprightly salad of lettuce, fried chicken, fresh baked cornbread, dried cranberries, toasted
pumpkin seeds and herb buttermilk dressing."

This was our first time dining here and we enjoyed our experience. This is a cute and quaint restaurant with friendly staff, located on a quiet street in Newport Beach. Parking is on the street or in a nearby lot. We made reservations but decided to sit at the bar. The bartender was eager and enthusiastic to answer our menu questions. The fried green tomatoes as an appetizer are delicious. For dinner we had the ribs, super delicious, the meat fell off the bone. We also enjoyed the grilled Jidori chicken wrap, it was yummy too. The southern flair menu is unique with many options. This place is now on our repeat list.

Surprise find for a 6:30 res on Valentines' - that it was one of the only places with a decent time available was a bit of worry - but to our surprise it's a gem! Seated immediately and server Hailey was prompt in greeting and getting drink and starter orders. Fixed menu with multiple options for each course - we opted for the Fried Green tomatoes shared app (tasty and not greasy). Wife had the pear & goat cheese salad and I chose the lobster chowder. Salad was delicious and the chowder had just enough lobster in a rich, creamy broth. I chose the Blackened Molasses Salmon for the main, it was fantastic. Great seasoning and buttery soft. Wife had the Filet, cooked perfectly medium and a sizeable piece to boot. We did make the mistake of ordering both deserts and were presented with a towering slice of Mississippi Mud Pie and a Jumbleberry Shortcake that was a perfect southern biscuit absolutely loaded with fresh berries. We managed to tackle about half the pie and took the shortcake home after just a few bites to enjoy later. Service during was a bit spotty - app came same time as salad/soup instead of before and we weren't quite finished with starters when entree's arrived - and it took a while to get a cup of coffee with desert, but left us time to chat about the local food scene with a neighboring table. Left talking about coming back to check out a breakfast in the near future!

Charming. Consistent, reliable and always great eats. Terrific service, nice people and willing to go the extra mile for their patrons. Can’t say enough good things, if you haven’t been breakfast, brunch, dinner…. Just do it, you won’t be disappointed!

Tupelo is one of my go-to breakfast spot, and as always the food and service are outstanding. The house-made biscuits, cornbread, and jam are always a great addition to the meal. It’s a cute little spot where locals and visitors dine. Recommend making a reservation on weekends or tourist season.

Seating staff excellent, but service a comedy of errors and slow. I think it was just a busier morning than they could handle at the time.
