Turner’s Cut is Houston’s newest playground for the elite, mixing the sophistication and luxury of the Gilded Age, the indulgence and free-flowing excess of the Golden Era, spiced with the risqué, exclusive, and clandestine aura of prohibition. Featuring the most exquisite and rare cuts of meat from America and Japan, white-glove service, daily live bandstand music, and antique design elements, Turner’s Cut is the most opulent dining experience in the city of Houston.

Why they're an Icon

Executive chef: Chelsea Cummings

From the OpenTable editors: This opulent Autry Park steakhouse from notable Houston restaurateur Benjamin Berg dazzles with premium steaks and equally luxe decor. Expect rare cuts of meat, plus white-gloved servers wheeling tableside carts of ice-cold martinis and raw seafood in an intimate, chandelier-decked dining room with Berg-family antiques.

Although good the food wand service was not exceptional like it was on our first experience. The steaks were not hot, they were just warm. The Caesar salad was also not as good as our previous time. The service was fine but there was a long wait when we were first seated and someone came to our table.

My experience was great! Our waiter Sofiane Kerma did a great job of explaining the menu and provided great service throughout the evening. I ordered the lamp chops and my plate was amazing! I will definitely be back!

We had the beautiful corner banquet last night for my husband's birthday, it is truly the best seat in the house. The jazz band above on the balcony was fabulous. There were four of us and I was excited to introduce them to this lovely spot. The service is perfect and so welcoming. The steaks are delicious and the little potato crispy "balls" are yummy. Extensive wine list-note that the first part of the wine book has the "Collection", the last two pages have wines by the glass, and just before the last two pages are the "normal" bottles of wine! The sommelier was happy to explain this to me as I searched for a favorite Rhone wine. This is a "special occasion" spot, but you could visit and experience the fun just by being in the lively bar and lounge area.

My second dinner here. It was a very different experience from the first time to the second. The first time was lovely quiet sophisticated, our waiter was a true foodie, who was very knowledgeable and had great recommendations. The music was soft and the food was amazing. Bringing new friends the second time with high expectations. I was disappointed in the Loud music, overall noise level where it felt like people were talking over each other, and the very expensive gnocchi truffle appetizer tasted nothing like it did the first time. The Caesar salad was also sweet, which is some thing I’ve never had and would not recommend. It was a birthday dinner and they served a delicious complementary mango dessert. I had ranked this as my most favorite restaurant in Houston but now I’m disappointed.

The hard surfaces (walls, ceiling, mirrors, floor) make it very loud. It is hard to talk and as a result people talk loudly further aggravating the problem. I recommend going later in the evening when it is a little quieter.

We were absolutely BLOWN AWAY by the food, the atmosphere and especially the detail to service.. the table side Caesar salad was the best ive ever had, the steak was cooked perfectly and was delicious and the Brussel sprouts were excellent! Richard the GM went out of his way to welcome us and tell us thanks for coming out.. DEFINITELY will be back!

The restaurant is beautiful and the service was high quality. I was disappointed by the food. It was good but not worth the price. Bone-in ribeye did not have much flavor.

Turner’s Cut delivers an extraordinary dining experience from start to finish. We were a table for four, and the impeccable service, led by Ryan, truly stood out—his attention to detail and professionalism made the evening unforgettable. We started with table-side martinis, Ben’s old fashions, and a solid wine list curated by an excellent sommelier, and indulged in the raw bar with fresh sashimi and oysters. The gnocchi battonnets with truffle were heavenly, and the table-side Caesar added a perfect touch of theater to the meal. For mains, we enjoyed the Australian Wagyu boneless ribeye, American Wagyu filet, and a double lobster tail—each cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The meal concluded with two stunning desserts: a chocolate soufflé and a beautifully executed meringue. The ambiance and décor are gorgeous, with every detail thoughtfully considered to create a luxurious atmosphere. The live music was just enough to enhance the experience without overpowering it. This is a place to dress to impress and prepare to be wowed. Hats off to the incredible chef and team for an unforgettable night! We will be back soon.
