   We were greeted from the moment we walked in. The team explained the menu in details to us. While sitting at the bar we enjoyed their signature drinks and nigiri that are divine and delicious.

   It was AMAZING! Although the food took SO LONG, our drinks too. I have not experienced that before.

   Used to be our favorite place to eat and drink and this time we had the most disappointing food ever… The Spanish octopus ( Tako Kyshi ) came salty and dry twice … the fried rice used to be one of my favorite dishes unfortunately I had it to return it was so greasy and salty as well , no offer for any other suggestions was made . Unfortunately there was no manager to stop by the table and check on us . We are definitely not coming back …

   I’ve eaten at Uchi four times now in the hopes that each visit would undo the experience of the previous visit. Unfortunately that did not happen. The food is outstanding but they are incapable of putting a dish on the table in less than 45-60 minutes. Each time I had 2 bites of food in the first hour. This makes the experience grueling if you have any bit of an appetite. They apologized each time, had an excuse before we ordered, and discounted the check considerably each time. Servers are very nice, food is delicious, but the experience is not worth it, especially considering the price point.

   Uchi *used* to be spectacular. When I first went and for many subsequent visits, your server would recite a litany of details about the menu and dishes. I probably had not been in 6 months, but this last visit I found everything in decline. First, our reservation was for 8:15pm on a Wednesday night. We were not sat until 8:45pm - we were literally about to leave when they told us our table was ready. Next, our server barely spoke to us. Being familiar with the menu, we could order without her help, but she never came around to see if we wanted to order more. Aside from dropping off a complimentary salad (that we didn't want), there was no pleasantries. Worst, the quality of the sushi went from 5 star to 4 stars (or less). Otoro tuna - barely had any taste to it. Salmon nigiri, barely any taste. Served with no wasabi. We had to ask for soy sauce...the whole experience, while still very very expensive, was second rate at best. Its sad because Uchi was just such a special experience. Look elsewhere for upscale sushi and save the money.

    Food was good and the Happy Hour specials are great. Do NOT sit outside. The ambiance is awful. However, inside is chilly. The dining room was packed and service was slow. The menu has a combination of sushi, rolls and hot dishes that are solid. Catching happy hour before 6:30 pm is a huge difference maker on price and the special priced menu is diverse. I would definitely go back.
