Paired with a locally-focused wine and beer list, Umbra is a perfect date night destination to enjoy delicious offerings while enjoying inspired live performances from a rich tableau of musical stylings. If you're looking for a celebratory night out with friends and family, our mezzanine lounge can fit larger parties up to twenty without the need to rent out the full space.

Stop by for market-fresh small plates, and a menu that varies with vibrant surprises from week to week, and even night to night. Our chef will design the menu each evening based on the freshest ingredients sourced that very same day.

We have an upstairs mezzanine that allows for parties up to 20 to reserve as a private area with a dedicated server. Unlike most places, this won't require you to rent out the space as a whole, essentially allowing you to have your own private area within the larger event. Whether you know nothing about wine, you're an expert, or anywhere in between, this is the perfect way to experience an array of natural wines and see what fits your palate! Try 6 of our wines through a guided tasting with our staff. Wine tastings can often be pretentious, but we seek to approach them with a more welcoming and artistic view. At the end of the day, wine should be fun! We want to make sure you enjoy it, not feel ostracized or put off, so feel free to ask those questions you've always wondered, like "what actually is orange wine?" or "what makes a wine 'natural'?" The tasting will include 6 half-glasses of wines.

Wednesdays are for comedy at Umbra! Come see some of New York's best comedians in a space that gives more art-deco jazz bar than dingy comedy club! With a full dinner menu, incredible wine selections, and a spacious room, this is the perfect date night spot, or a night out in Bushwick with a group of friends looking to laugh. Ticket price is variable - usually between $5-15/person - with all proceeds going directly to the comedians.

They have great customer service and the food and drinks are pretty decent. I would totally give them another shot when they are not hosting events where the event host are rude to their customers - they definitely need to make sure that their paying customers are comfortable and not being passive aggressively push away in any way.

It was wonderful. What a gem of a club. Can’t wait to come back. The owners are the hardest workers there which no doubt is why it is such a fabulous experience.

We did the Valentines Day pre-fix menu for $180 that included live music. The music was great and so was the ambiance... The food however was not worth the value spent. This was more of a tasting menu than a pre-fix menu: 1st course - chicken liver pattè 0/10 served on two small crackers 2nd course - Gnocci - 5/10 3rd course - Miso pear salad 7.5/10 (the best thing we had) 4th course - Wagyu steak 7/10 (good flavor but a little dry in some areas) 5th dessert - two small chocolate strawberries (4/10) - very lazy in my opinion. I would’ve much rather have ordered from the regular menu which sounded like they had some good options. Would’ve spent less money and might have enjoyed the food a bit more.

All the dishes were delicious and the tasting menu is a good value for what you get! Plus FREE music from really talented musicians while you’re eating, and a nice drinks list (just wine-based cocktails, but they’re good!) I would definitely go back!

This place is beyond amazing! If you’re on the fence just take the leap and book for a night. The chefs tasting menu is beyond incredible and a great price point for the quality and quantity you’re served. The vibe is super welcoming, we went on a Sunday where they had an open stage, so many talented people coming together to make music in the moment. I’d 100% come back and will be recommending to everyone!

This is a music venue that serves an excellent meal and a small, but lovingly, brilliantly curated wine selection. Just go. You will be delighted by the ambience, your dinner, your wine and the handmade, live music.
