   Was disappointed in the Mushroom appetizer. For the price we were expecting more tasty toppings, but it was to runny. For $15 expected more than just small medium size 🍄.

   Visited USV for Sunday brunch with friends. Service (by Hanna) was very welcoming, friendly, and attentive, the food was excellent, well-prepared, and plentiful! The "Shareables" are abundant, and quite substantial. Two orders was more than enough for 3. The charcuterie board was evenly divided between savory, thin sliced meats and cheeses; the warm crab dip is lucious and tasty. The wine is very refined and pairs nicely with the selections. No matter the time of year, a walk around the property and to the river is always a treat! USV is well managed, incredibly well maintained, and casual, but elegant.

   Lovely afternoon with friends at Upper Shirley. Kind and attentive staff, yummy lunch, and generous pours. Our table especially enjoyed the Petit Verdot and Viognier. Will definitely be back!

   We enjoy the drive along route 5 to get to Upper Shirley Vineyards and once there we enjoy sipping wine on the porch overlooking the James River. We have had the charcuterie board on one visit and we opted for the Shirley Stack sandwich this time around. Both were delicious. We paired them with the Viognier both times and enjoyed the view, the meal, and sipping our wine.

   Lovely and elegant as always. My daughter and I had the burgers. Food and service were top notch. We sat on the porch overlooking the river, so beautiful and peaceful.
