   The place is cute in the front and the servers really nice but it took a long time for our main courses to come out and when it did, the chicken on my caccio e Pepe was cold while the pasta was lukewarm. The halibut was a little overcooked. The fresh bread and the brussels were really delicious though. Overall it was ok but I expected more for the price we paid.

   My wife and I were somewhat disappointed in our experience last night. This is the only Italian restaurant that we have ever been to that could/would not accommodate my wife's restriction to dairy. My wife wanted the fish, but asked to have a substitution for the risotto. Turns out the fish is marinated in dairy? They said they could not provide a dish of pasta with marinara sauce, no cheese? No other ideas except a salad or a plain chicken breast. So she accepted the chicken breast and asked for a side of broccolini. $15 for a side of broccolini? My food was very good, and the waitress was pleasant and tried to be helpful, but seemed flustered by what the kitchen was telling her. The foccacia is excellent, but overall the experience was mediocre.

   Two couples for dinner, very successful. Gluten-free Pasta, Duck, steak, specials. Well-priced wine list let us get something off the top of the list at a reasonable price. Have enjoyed them in the past, and they bested themselves this time!

   I’ve been to this restaurant twice now and it’s been wonderful each time. The wait staff are attentive and provide a great dining experience. The food is fresh and well prepared with a great flavor profile. The prices aren’t outrageous for what you’re getting. It’s a cozy, but inviting space with a nice wine selection.

   Dinner was absolutely delicious. The truffle gnocchi was the best gnocchi I've had in my life - outstanding! We ordered a starter - fig bruschetta - and when it arrived it was topped with pears. That was disappointing, because the menu wasn't updated and the server didn't inform us. Figs are my favorite, which is why we ordered it... I'm also mildly allergic to pears. Had we known, I would have picked a different starter. Our server was very attentive, but not over attentive which I appreciated.

   If you have ever been to Italy, you'll appreciate Vacanza Romana. THIS is how it's done. Authentic, fresh food, all prepared on premises, with a view from the dining room into the kitchen area.

    The food and service were exceptional. I would have appreciated being made aware in advance that we were going to be seated at Mimosa House.
