We are an authentic Italian wine café, proud to offer quality Sicilian wines and spuntini appetisers across the UK. In the spring of 2013 something extraordinary happened. Two Italian guys in their twenties met in Manchester to find out that they shared a unique passion; they both loved and missed, the Italian Aperitivo, the ritual of drinking, nibbling and relaxing after work. A daily occasion to share moments of happiness with friends and family. By the end of that very same year, Veeno was born: a place where everyone could enjoy great wines and the most authentic Spuntini – platters of meats, cheeses and other appetisers imported from strictly selected Italian producers. Our wines come from Caruso & Minini, our family vineyard back in Sicily where great-grandfather Antonio planted the first vines in the XIX century. Since then, we have been working hard to ensure that our quality and tradition could flow from the bottles to the glass in your hand.

  • A Trip to Sicily Wine Tasting Experience

    Multiple dates available
    Our signature experience offers 6 wines to taste, all from the family vineyard in Marsala, Sicily. 2 whites, 1 rose, 2 reds, (70 ml each) will be accompanied by Italian meats and cheeses of the highest quality and bruschetta al pomodoro. One of our team members will give an introduction to each wine and explain which appetiser best complements each wine. To finish things off. A glass of sweet wine (25ml) will be perfectly paired with our delicious homemade tiramisu.

    We booked this for a company meal and it wasn't quite the right vibe for it. It's better for a quick meal with a glass of wine and a chat, not so much a sit-down as it was noisy. But the staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful, the food was great as well. One of our party was dairy-intolerant, which we mentioned as we were greeted, but then that wasn't passed onto our server. So my colleague ended up with a big ball of mozzarella on her pizza. Mistakes do happen and we should've also mentioned it to the server. And once they realised the mistake, the staff were great about it, offered to make a new pizza, get us some extras and in general were very accommodating. So a lovely place, good food, good staff and nice vibe.

    Found by chance not knowing Bristol. A fantastic little restaurant. Great ambiance and service. The food is just wonderful. Planning a return before we leave.

    I had the mixed meat and cheese board and added the blood orange side salad Very fresh and vibrant menu classic Italian white wine made my eating experience fantastic staff excellent service ambiance great definitely going back with a group of friends I will try the pasta and homemade pizza next time

    Great atmosphere let down by the service. Nothing against the server who was lovely, but the place seemed understaffed and we were never attended to, so every time we needed something we had to flag someone down. We struggled to get the attention of the server who then told us the meat platter starter we wanted would be a 40 min wait. The server was very busy, while the manager seemed more interested in chatting to people, really not impressed with the level of service. The food was okay. Sort out the service and this would be an ok place to go

    Great atmosphere and great food. The cheese and meats board was divine with more than enough bread sticks and bruschetta. Wine was also great!

    When we arrived, there was apparently no booking. The restaurant told us they had a problem with open table. Not a great start. I ordered a pizza, to then be told they didn’t have an ingredient so that pizza was off the menu. Why on earth didn’t you tell be BEFORE I looked at the menu? Service was slow, I ordered a glass of wine to have with my pizza and it arrived after I had eaten. Luckily we weren’t in a hurry!

    Really enjoy Veeno’s since my first visit to their Reading restaurant. A great spot and always great service and value for money .
