Situated in the heart of Brookhaven in between sister restaurants, HAVEN & Valenza, vero pizzeria brings a casual dining concept to the Word of Mouth Restaurant Group with this Neapolitan-influenced pizzeria. The focal point of vero pizzeria will be the brick pizza oven, made specifically for the restaurant cast from clay from Mount Vesuvius’ volcanic rock. This 6,800 pound Acunto Napoli pizza oven will guarantee a delicious product and keep patrons wanting pizza night to be every night. The traditional and market-driven menu will embody the farm-to-fork philosophy that holds true with all Word of Mouth Restaurants. Guests will have the option to dine-in or take out.

Three of us dined here on a Monday night for the "Margarita Pizza Special" for $10 with $1 per topping up to three toppings. I chose mushrooms and spinach as my toppings, but my pizza crust was too crisp and not very tasty. I'm so used to ordering the Fungi pizza that is excellent, so this was a disappointment. My husband thought his pizza was very good with the fennel sausage and a couple of other toppings. The fennel sausage gave it more flavor. My brother-in-law got anchovies on his pizza, and he enjoyed it. Adam took great care of us and recommended the Prosecco to me, which was dry and delicious. My husband enjoyed his red wine.

Pizza is always great and I love the fact that the draft beer is always really fresh. If you come at a slow time, they will sometimes let you order off the Valenza menu!

We dined here on a cold winter's evening, and Vero Pizzeria's pizzas were our comfort food. We also got a nice bottle of Prosecco that was half priced on a Tuesday evening. There were three of us, and we each got the pizza of our choice. Marcus, our server, took excellent care of us. My fungi pizza was even better than I remembered the last time I ordered it. The crust was soft, very tasty, and not charred as I've had in the past. I took half of it home for another meal.

Vero Pizzeria is my favorite place for pizza since my husband and I can each pick a pizza with toppings we like. He always picks meat (carne) and I pick the white pizza with mushrooms (fungi). My brother-in-law picked the meatball sandwich. All were very good. Our server, Shota B., was very attentive, and brought me two wine samples to taste (the pinot grigio and the chardonnay) before I decided I liked the chardonnay the best. We enjoyed our dining experience.

We love Vero Pizzerio and think they have the best pizza that we've tried around Atlanta. We got here on a Sunday night early, and it was quiet but started to fill up by the time we departed. Cad took excellent care of us and let us try a couple of wines before we decided on which wine to order with our meal. I always love the fungi pizza, so that's what I ordered (and took home half of it). My husband has tried other pizzas, but this time he settled for the carne, which he said was delicious.

My expectations were high from the description. First, the service and facility was top notch - attentive, courteous, clean and organized. Ordered a salad and pizza- the salad was amazing with quality ingredients. The pizza also had quality ingredients but the flavor of the crust was nothing to write home about and the combo of toppings was just ok.

For years I've told my wife how incredible Vero was, but we had not had a chance to visit, then 2020 arrived. I wanted her to have the real experience of eating the pizza fresh out of the oven, so we finally got around to it in early 2021. We decided to go for date night last week. We had made reservations on open table and were seated promptly by Cat. She provided great service, and was very personable. My wife and I love white pizza and veggies, especially mushrooms so we ordered a half/half Fungi and Americano. The Americano is good, but the Fungi was spectacular. Can't wait to go back.
