The Southtowne Pub on Willamette features a full draft line of craft beer and honey ales proudly brewed in West Eugene since 2013. Viking Brewing Company has made its name making braggot, which is a beer-forward hybrid of mead and beer. We also brew non-honey ales, and feature a full bar with one of the most extensive aquavit collections in the Pacific Northwest. You can try this quintessential Scandinavian spirit in one of our house cocktails or in a flight!

Head Chef, Mark Brauer, has curated a Scandinavian-inspired menu that features traditional dishes, and incorporates the Scandinavian style of marrying preserved and fresh ingredients. You will also find classic pub fare like burgers and hand-tossed pies, built with high quality and locally sourced ingredients, including meat from our local butcher. Of Norwegian decent, himself, Chef Mark has a passion for Asian cuisine, particularly Japanese, so don't be surprised when your dish is fused with other traditional World fare!

The restaurant was clean and tables were spaced nicely apart. So it felt a little more private and quiet than places that shove all the tables in together. Service was really busy, because it was Valentine's Day, so I couldn't give them a perfect score but they were really friendly and everything came out in a timely manner. But the food is the hero of this story because it was SO GOOD. We have to come back. I've never spent so much money on brussel sprouts - and not because they're expensive, but because we ordered 3 plates throughout the night, so that should tell you something.

Our waitperson, Lea, was most cordial. She helped with beer selection and recommended the beet fritters which were delicious! Very attentive to our needs. Pizza was wonderful also....

Pleasantly surprised. You can't see that it is a restaurant driving by. Pizza was good, plenty of other choices. I'd go there again

This place was recommended to us by our Airbnb owner. Unfortunately, we found it very mediocre. The ambiance is cute, especially the booths in main portion of the restaurant. The outside area is cozy w the lights. We had the pretzel, two pizzas and cheeseburger. Cheeseburger was the better of them all.

We went at lunchtime so it wasn't too busy. It looks like a great place to go with friends -- they've got lots of space and tables. Local art is for sale along the walls, which is a nice extra if you'd like a local souvenir or something unique for a gift for someone. Service was excellent. Food was good but not wow. I had an open-faced whitefish sandwich and a bowl of cabbage roll soup.

We happened upon the Viking through an open table search, and were glad we did. It was graduation weekend in Eugene, so we had a big group celebrating and everyone agreed the food was exceptional. Many proclaimed the burger to be one of the best they’d had and the smorgasbord was fun and delicious. We would definitely go back.
