Food was excellent but it lacked any atmosphere and the service was far too slow. We had to signal that we wanted a dessert menu and then waited even longer to order it. I had to give upon the bill to catch a train leaving my friend to pay. Very friendly though. We changed table too as we chose one by the window originally but it was cold & draughty with a flickering light above us and my companions chair was too low for the table. A few minor changes could really make a huge difference.

We visited with good friends, the atmosphere was perfect for us to be able to have a good catch up. The food was delicious, we had the Sunday Roast. Drinks were good and we will definitely return.

The food was lovely, however the service was quite poor. The hostess seemed quite rude, the music was so incredibly loud and there was a long wait between the courses. The food was great but the service really let down the experience.

We had a Virgin Experience voucher as a gift for a 3 course Sunday lunch. Velvet did not disappoint. The service we received was excellent, the food was just lovely and plentiful. The venue was very clean and tidy and looked great. I personally enjoyed the music they played as it is on my playlist, lots of old soul and R&B. All in all a great experience, I would highly recommend it and we will definitely return.
