   All the food was delicious, the ambience is lovely and Kelli B. is a very dedicated server. She makes sure that you are having a wonderful experience without “hovering”.

   Although a wonderful presentation- two of three entrees were lukewarm. Food is great quality but inconsistent temps make it hard to recommend. Has happened several times. Service was excellent.

   Wonderful dining experience! We were seated on their lovely front porch with a great view of the Village of Pinehurst. The food and service were Amazing!! Such a fun evening.

   We have been here many times and it has always been excellent. This time however was very different. Service was good, but the food was very underwhelming. The bread is different than it used to be and is just ok (used to be a highlight). The calamari appetizer was honestly terrible. It was grilled and the only thing you could taste was a very heavy char, no other flavor. The lobster ravioli with brown butter sauce was completely tasteless and the Bolognese was ok at best (my favorite dish from there in the past). Really unfortunate experience given how well we liked this place in the past.

   The restaurant was lovely and in an historic inn. Everything was done well. The staff was great, the timeing of the food was good, and the food was excelant. They even made my favorite cocktail correctly.

   We were about 15 minutes early for our reservation and were not seated though there were plenty of empty tables. It was suggested we get a drink which we did but the bar is being renovated so we sat outside to wait for our table. Upon being seated, we ordered the polpette appetizer and beet salad. We also asked for bread. The polpette were good but the beet salad was underwhelming as it was 5 slices of beets on an arugula pesto. We asked for the bread again. Then our main courses arrived: lasagna and pasta carbonara. They were both good. Finally the bread arrived. There appeared to be sufficient staff so it’s unclear why the service wasn’t better. We won’t be going back there. We were disappointed.

    The food was great, I learned a little about Pinehurst as a city and the building itself. My wife and I enjoyed our anniversary here. It was a wonderful time! Al was hilarious and Carrie was awesome!
