   It was a great way to celebrate my birthday! Definitely a hidden gem…and really mean the word hidden! Great wine and small bites food. Could use an update to the menu online as it didn’t quite match the in venue menu…

   Disappointed. We came as a group of 4 hoping for a night out to have some drinks and snacks at Vin de Syrah. First, there was limited seating due to 2 events. A great spot at the end of the bar was unavailable because one of the bartenders was sitting there. Two of us had our drink order taken quickly by a friendly bartender. She was pleasant and joking. When our other two friends arrived 5 minutes later, she was nowhere to be seen and the bartender who was sitting at the bar now got behind the bar. Our friends waited 20 minutes to be served. There were 5 people behind the bar. Apparently most of them were bar backs. They just stood there and when our friends asked if they can place a drink order they said they couldn’t help. We get that, but at least apologize for the wait or tell one of the bartenders to come over. We finally all got our drinks and they were good. The bartender who had been seated at the bar helped our friends. He was not friendly and didn’t seem like he liked working there. When we wanted to order another round no one was attentive to us. Our drinks sat empty and no one offered another drink. We had to flag someone down to close out because we were done. We’re in our 40s, very respectful, and good patrons so I’m not sure why we were ignored. And it wasn’t because of the events. One was over after 15 minutes of arriving and the other was a private tasting with a dedicated staff member. Not a friendly environment. Not good service. We didn’t get to try any food because the service was so bad. What a disappointing experience. Not worth a try.

   We had a reservation, confirmed our reservation & then turn up to find the restaurant fully closed - hung around for a bit & called multiple times, but no answer & no sign of anyone or any communication! Extremely disappointing, so don’t waste your time.

   Wonderful time out at Vin De Syrah! Didn’t really know what to expect as it seemed to be wine bar but advertised often as a speakeasy with a limited menu on tap…. Talk about Jekyll and Hyde…this place was amazing! Came in and had an amazing cocktail with a a scrumptious sandwich (ask to add a meat). Cocktails were excellent (and yes they had wine with a full bar) and service was even better! As we were wrapping up our meal we were moved to a booth as the place transformed right before our eyes into a swanky after hours venue. Sad we didn’t get our first servers name, but she and our second server Isabel, were super attentive. The prelude to the “club” was a live bourgeois interlude by three talented women which got the crowd engaged. As the mic dropped the DJ slyly started to spin old and new tracks and the club took off! Bar was on point with the bar tenders ready to mix and pour your desire. Only complaint was that the neat pours were a bit on the pricey $ide. Check this place out…you shouldn’t be disappointed.

   Vin de Syrah is a wonderful bar with great food, wine, decor and music. I love the quality of food and drink. The live music and DJ are amazing and the bar has a great amount of space.
