Welcome to Vistro Prime, a beloved neighborhood steakhouse in the heart of downtown Hinsdale, Illinois. Formerly known as Vistro, this establishment underwent a transformation in March 2021 under the culinary direction of Chef Paul Virant. At Vistro Prime, you can indulge in a delightful array of traditional steakhouse offerings such as juicy steaks, savory chops, and fresh seafood, alongside the familiar and beloved signature dishes that have captured the hearts of our patrons.

    Join Vistro Prime for an evening of great wine, food, and enjoyment. We will be serving a five course menu thoughtfully paired with wine from Brazil, South Africa, Chile, New Zealand, Argentina, and Australia! The evening will begin at 6pm with a reception and appetizers followed by dinner service. The wines enjoyed will be offered for retail sale and special "one-night-only" pricing. All guests must be 21+ to enjoy. Vistro Prime is located directly off the BNSF train line in Hinsdale and has ample, free street parking after 5pm.

    Vistro Prime will be a new addition to favorite restaurants to return to. We were lucky enough to visit the restaurant on the first Thursday of the month which happen to have live music and the band was superb. It helped to add to the overall ambience and set the mood for the evening. Food and service were both exceptional. 12 ounce ribeye cooked just right and the appetizer Rissoto cake (must try) was absolutely delicious. Pricing was what to be expected for a 5 star restaurant. Downtown Hinsdale setting added to the joy of visiting.

    Great menu. Lots of variety without being overwhelming. Great service. Be sure to make a reservation although we have been lucky a few times.

    Cocktails were good. My medium rare filet was cooked medium well. Very tasty as the meat was good but not cooked to order. The side of broccoli and cheese curds was really very good. We ordered baked Alaska which was all wrong, as the ice cream and cookie on the bottom were both frozen so solid we couldnt cut it with a knife. Good food but not prepared to the level of the very expensive tab.

    Food here is incredible. Server was friendly but not exceptional. Bussing was aggressive- removing plates as last bites were still being chewed and water glasses over filled. Dessert here is the best! Don’t miss the butter cake. One of my favorite restaurants around!

    It was our first visit to Vistro, and we had a fantastic experience. The food and wine were delicious, and our server, Alfredo, was outstanding. We’ll definitely be back!
