   Dinner was good, Drinks were good but we had seen on Facebook that the Derek Mack band was playing there we gathered 8 couples and showed up to listen to some R & B only to be very disappointed that his band was not playing and was told by the front office young man it was an AI generated ad hmmmm not sure that was the truth but I was very disappointed as I had invited the couples for a night out of dinner and dancing! I think we all felt he was giving us a good story and we were dupped into coming to dinner and R&B this was very disappointing and ended our night early!! Teresa S

   Voodoo Bayou is a high energy bar located in the heart of downtown. The food is southern, creole, and Cajun. This is a type I do not normally get so jumped at a chance to try this for our one dinner in the area. We were here during an art festival which shut the street down. The staff called to let us know about the festival and gave us alternative parking locations to help us avoid the blockage. We got to the restaurant early and they could seat us outside (our preference). The streamed music was loud but enjoyable. The server was busy so stopped by to let us know he would get us water but it would be a little while before he would be able to take our order. His communication was great - we were not in a hurry. Once we were able to give our order the server gave us his recommendations. He did not give only the signature items but it was mostly the higher priced items. I went with the Redfish (a signature item) but my partner went with the Shrimp and Crawfish Étouffée and we both had a beer. Both dishes were excellent and we would order them again. One point, they add an 18% service charge to each check. They are up front about it and they highlight it when presenting the paper bill. They also say that additional tip is welcome and the servers do try to win this additional tip. I would return to Voodoo Bayou if in the area. For us, this is a great place for an occasional meal as it is on the little more expensive side.

   Great New Orleans experience in Las Olas. Creative cocktails - highly recommend the snake oil salesman and saint vallencourt. Perfectly prepared meals with attentive service . Will return soon.

    had wood fired oysters which were delicious. then shrimp and crawefish etouffee. could not have been better. my margarita was top notch. overall highly recommended
