The only real issue I have with this restaurant is the attitude of the wait staff. It feels like being served by robots—efficient, yes, but completely devoid of warmth or personality. The service is technically good: food comes out on time, orders are accurate, and the basics are all handled well. But there’s a noticeable lack of friendliness or genuine engagement. No smiles, no small talk, no sense that they actually care whether you’re enjoying yourself. At this price point, I expect more than just competence—I expect hospitality. When you’re spending this kind of money on a meal, part of the value should come from the experience, and that includes how you're treated. Unfortunately, the cold, mechanical service left me feeling more like a transaction than a guest. It wouldn't take much to fix this—a little warmth and human connection would go a long way.

Food was mixed bag. Coq au vin was good-to-very good. Crab cakes were poor. Looked and tasted like Stouffer’s frozen food. Escargot was good. Service was very good. We liked ambiance. Prices reasonable.

The server was not attentive. We had to get up to ask for help. The water pourer did not communicate at all…perhaps did not speak English?

A Hidden Gem Worth the Drive-Even from San Francisco This charming little bistro may be worlds away from Paris, but it delivers one of the most authentic French dining experiences you’ll find outside the City of Light. The French Onion soup is exceptional-rich, deeply flavored, and topped with an indulgent blanket of melted cheese. Don't miss the salad with apples, pine nuts, and real Roquefort cheese, not just any blue cheese, but the real deal. And then there’s the lasagna. Yes, lasagna-in a French restaurant. It may seem like an oddity tucked among the classics, but it just might be one of the best in the entire Bay Area. Layers of flavor, perfectly balanced and deeply satisfying. This tiny spot is a treasure and absolutely worth the drive from anywhere in the Bay Area.

First time here in this quiet restaurant... celebrated birthday... delicious food... everything we ordered was yummy... started with the bread, escargot and fried calamari.... next came pear salad & crab salad to share... dinner included 2 of us ordering crab cake entree, pork chops, and the duck breast... all cooked to perfection and perfectly seasoned... will have to go back to try everything else on the menu!

Anniversary dinner last night. Restaurant was not busy. We shared the Caesar Salad ($2.00 charge to split it). My hubby ordered the Duck Confit and he enjoyed it. I ordered the Mussels and Fries. Mussels were good quality and Fries were cooked to perfection. Desert was Profitroles and prepare very well. The service was a bit slow but, we were not in a rush.

Great food. Feels a bit pricey, but that’s not unusual these days. Excellent service at the top of the evening, which got more spotty as the place filled up (no water refills after the first 15 minutes). Still was an excellent splurge on myself.
