   My ultimate test for a restaurant is if it randomly pops in my head weeks later as I relish the memory of the meal & experience. Wandering Vine at The Castle meets that test. I am still thinking about the savory bone-in pork chop with demi-glace sauce, the decadent chestnut mushrooms, and the perfectly intense cocoa of the layered chocolate cake. I'm not going to lie, a part of me anticipates huge disappointment for every sad attempt of pork chops or chocolate cake from any other restaurant here after until I can return. Congratulations to the chef, owner and staff for creating and sharing a truly remarkable dining experience at The Castle!

   The ambiance is very sweet and quaint. The food just wasn’t very tasty or fresh. My bacon was old and hard and my eggs didn’t have any flavor. I am hoping there are other tasty things on the menu if I were to come back.

   Our server, Alex, was knowledgable, personable and professional and gave well informed counsel. One of the owners stopped by our table to greet us and congratulate us on our anniversary in a friendly, sincere manner. When a cocktail didn't suit, it was whisked away and cheerfully replaced. When a dish was returned to the kitchen for a bit more cooking time, there was no hint of displeasure with our preferences. Every person we interacted with took the time to get acquainted or answer a question, and that really enhanced our visit. And the food -- all of it -- was exquisite. A memorable evening!

   Had Brunch with Bisquits and Gravy & Eggs Benedict. One of two restaurants in 50 years that does perfect Hollandaise! Our waitress (Sophie) was beyond perfect. Very pleased.

   My husband and I came to Wandering Vine for an anniversary brunch. We found the space charming, our service excellent and the food quite tasty. We will definitely be back to try out a dinner experience here.
