   Dined at the Gordonsville location-good food, service and value. Roanoke- lower quality of food and service. Value for cost not there. Would not return or recommend.

   We got two appetizers. The mushroom French fries and the pepperoni crustinis. Both very good. Drinks were nice. I got a cranberry Moscow mule and husband got a beer. There is a nice selection of food and drinks. One complaint...the chairs...they are small and VERY uncomfortable.

   The environment was wonderful, fantastic service and great prices! The charcuterie board was PHENOMENAL! The only setback was the Short Rib Mac & Cheese - the pasta was way overdone, very mushy, and it was overloaded with BBQ sauce, which was really overwhelming and took away from the flavors of the 3 cheeses they expertly incorporated. I couldn’t even eat it. If you order it, make sure to ask for the BBQ on the side.

   The food was good, but we had to wait for every course. It took our table of four almost 4 hours to eat dinner. We saw several tables of 6 and more finish much faster than us. The longest wait was for dessert, all of which were served cold-so they had to be prepared well ahead of ordering. While the food tasted good, the atmosphere (we were seated at a high top table, and the stools were very uncomfortable to sit at for over three hours), and the overall lack of service will keep me from recommending this to anyone for a while.

   We were a party of 5 taking advantage of "Restaurant Week" in downtown Roanoke, VA, and had lunch reservations at a recommended restaurant, "Well Hung". It was a complete disappointment: 1) we waited over one (1) hour to be served our food, even though we were one of only 5 parties present at the time; 2) one of the three (3) Restaurant Week offerings was found not available (no food) after 3 of our party had placed an order for this listed offering; 3) the two flatbread orders were poorly made and appeared to have been leftovers from the day before - one of these orders was refused it was so bad; 4) the chicken offering for Restaurant Week was stale and over cooked. When we complained, our server indicated that they were short staffed, and we got the impression that there were just 2 staff on duty - the waitress and the kitchen person. This was a profound and shocking disappointment, and I would not recommend this restaurant.

   We went for restaurant week. It’s a restaurant we have gone to before multiple times and always enjoyed and had great service. This visit was completely different. We had a reservation. We were told as soon as we sat down the kitchen was closing soon so we had to order quickly and we were updated on multiple items for the restaurant week menu that were unavailable. Our drinks took 55 minutes to be delivered and our flight drinks were 1/2 the pour per glass from our past visits. It took an hour and 20 minutes from order to get our food. The food was ok, a step down from other visits. They were very under staffed. It wasn’t crazy busy with tables. I’m not sure the total issue but overall a disappointing visit.

   We have been here 3 times now, and this has been spread out over a year, and all the visits to this place they seem chronically understaffed. The wine is okay. The food is pretty good. However, if you want a second glass or want to order anything after you place the initial order, you have to practically tackle someone to get their attention. I feel we've given this place well over a year to get their priorities in order, and they still seem to struggle. At this point, I would not recommend going here based on lack of service. Oh, and if your table has 6 people, they add a 20% gratuity hidden under 'event fee' on the ticket. That seemed shady as hell to me. Just call it what it is. Or if the system won't let you tell the party that 'event fee' was added to account for a tip.

    It’s been a long time since I’ve had that bad of a dining experience. Something was clearly wrong in the back of the house as they say but the front of the house didn’t know how to handle it.
