Westerns Laundry is a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant focusing on seafood & natural wines. The restaurant is located in the Islington/Highbury neighbourhood of North London. It opened in 2018 and is housed in a 1950's industrial building which used to be home to the largest commercial laundry in North London. It now boasts a beautiful 60 cover dining room, which opens onto an open 20 cover cobbled courtyard with olive trees as well as an intimate private dining room. Westerns Laundry has won numerous awards for excellence and originality and is a firm favourite on the London dining scene.

The food was lovely but we were repeatedly told about the 2 hour time limit for our table, rushed to order our food and we were given our bill before our desert arrived. I didn’t appreciate being rushed out of the restaurant when we had spent a lot of money.

I went with a friend. We both felt the service was excellent but that the main course portions inadequate. Simply plating the dish without a choice of vegetables or rice or potatoes (or the option to have them) may appear fashionable but when one is left feeling hungry then the restaurant has failed. Given the pricing levels and market positioning that Western has chosen they need to do better. We would not go again.

Our favourite place in Islington. Manages to be both elegant and relaxed. The food is always top notch, they create innovative flavour combinations using the finest ingredients. Their staff are super lovely and very knowledgeable. We always come away feeling uplifted.

we have enjoyed Westerns Laundry for years- the service, the seasonal menus, the carefully crafted wine list… never fails to impress. We love the whole space and will continue recommending to all our friends and visitors! Big thank you to all the staff!

Bloody amazing! Such a magical, ambient dining room. Really buzzy atmosphere. Super tasty food, especially the Panelle and the Pork Jowl. And such nice wine recommendations from Ali. Literally a perfect spot!

This is a delightful restaurant where every dish impresses and the service, attentive, knowledgeable and patient. On a busy match day, this oasis of culinary charm and adventure is a destination in its own right. I highly recommend this establishment.
